  • I remember this show! I only saw it in black and white cause we didn't have a color TV. I was 14 when this show came on the air and we were living in Long Island! I hope someone finds the footage and uploads all the shows on youtube.

  • HEY I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR YEARS... I WAS ON SOUL ALIVE AND MY 2 TIMES BEING ON THE SHOW WAS FANTASTIC. THIS WAS A BEAUTIFUL TIME FOR ME ESPECIALLY. I MISS THOSE DAYS... I AUDITIONED AT "CLUB LEVITICUS" AND I BELIEVE IT WAS CALLED :"CLUB STRAWBERRIES OR STRAWBERRY 23" IN NY (EITHER EASTCHESTER OR YONKERS OR ONE OF THOSE PLACES. I REALLY WISHED THAT I COULD FIND ONE OF THE ACTUAL VIDEOS THAT I WAS ON WHICH WAS REPEATED 2X EACH DURING THOSE YEARS..

  • OMG I used to love this show back in the day!!! Soul Alive appeared on New York's WPIX (11 Alive), which was also a cable channel in Philadelphia back in the 70's. I still remember the commercial...watch Soul Alive on 11 Alive!!! Thanks a million for the memories!!!

    WHEN ONE TALKS RAP THERES NO WAY THEY SHOULDNT BE MENTIONED AS A PRIME FACTOR IN THE STYLE ANS INFLUENCE OF RAP AND ITS EMERGENCE IN THE STREETS AS A GENRE. THEY INFLUENCED B4 THE POETS WERE KNOWN..PIGMEAT MARKHAM RHYMED ON WAX & GETS SLEPT ON TOO!!

  • I was on this show back in ,79. "Kool and the Gang", were the guests. The performed, "Open Sesame" and "Jungle Boogie"! I'll never forget this experience. "Flashlight" was the #1 song. I got to do a 10 second solo with my partner and finished with "dipping" her after a few turns! Till this day my brother cracks on me about the "dip". He claims she only "dipped" her head!!!LOL. Those were the days. LOL!!
