You guys should try out the lord of the rings mod for this game. it's amazing!! It's called Third Age Total War, and even creative assembly itself supports the mod because of how good it is for the game. But you'll need expansion with medieval 2 to get the mod

Not that it matters, but playing M2TW I choose "Exterminate" to every city I conquer, and "Execute" all captors after a battle; This allows me to occupy cities easily and move on, as well as crush resistance and assure they don't come back.

There is a mod for this game called Broken Crescent which adds a variety of clothes and uniforms to each faction in an attempt to make everything look more realistic. The regular un-modded Total War games have never been very accurate.

Not that it matters, but playing M2TW I choose "Exterminate" to every city I conquer, and "Execute" all captors after a battle; This allows me to occupy cities easily and move on, as well as crush resistance and assure they don't come back.

There is one thing wrong.
Medieval armies did not wear uniforms
except for arrior monks(templers),uniforms was used by the roman legions and then appeard again at the end of the 17entury(except for some royal bodyguard) egyptian mamluks and crusaders did not wear uniform, each one had his own clothes and armour according to status,financial situation etc

There is a mod for this game called Broken Crescent which adds a variety of clothes and uniforms to each faction in an attempt to make everything look more realistic. The regular un-modded Total War games have never been very accurate.

@am1966ath This is a myth. People bathed as often in the middle ages as they did during the Roman Republic/Empire. People stopped bathing after the Renaissance, more proof that the period gets more credit than it deserves.

I think that the oriental world was cleaner than the european one..the europeans took only ocassional baths.

@am1966ath You "think", but you don't know. This is hardly surprising. I'm assuming you also believe that most people in the middle ages were ignorant barbarians, burned witches at the stake annually, lived in extreme poverty and conducted back-breaking labor every day for little reward.
I can't give links, but I can say look up the question yourself. Academics have determined that the middle ages were subject to an extreme propaganda campaign following the Renaissance.

and lived in poverty. Rewards and mobility was for small classes of priviliged people,nobles,mercenaries,pirates,clergy.

"The Bath
People of the Middle Ages are known to have bathed more often than any of their descendants up to the 19th century. It was common for hosts and guests to share the experience."
This meaning communal bathing, while taking a different form due to anti-prostitution movements, was still in existence. Charlemagne was known to conduct meetings in public baths, and he was a ruler during the heart of the "dark ages".
