I suppose those factors could have contributed to the reason [though I wouldn't say they were main reasons], but then again many other things did too; their manager's death, George and Ringo often being left as the "back seat Beatles" wanting to emerge and be real song writers, collab difficulties, etc etc.

@onnie74 John may have been the "leader" in some sense-but you don't make any sense. Songs like Hey Jude, Let it Be, Love Me Do (well, mostly), Eleanor Rigby, Get Back-to mention a few of his most known ones.. Personally I think songs like "For No-One", "She's Leaving Home" and "Fool on the hill" are terrific. John was often dubbed as the leader because he was the founder of the band, he perhaps had more prominent character than the others and it was also initially his dec. to "end" Beatles.

This is my ALL TIME favorite Beatles song. I actaully read that John Lennon got in a car accident so he wasnt there to record the song so George played the bass and Paul played piano. Ringo sounds amazing on the drums as usual. I wish the music now at least came close to the Beatles but so far nothing compares to them. I LOVE THE BEATLES!
