In the 1980s, Peter and Laurie, along with Brian Eno (!!!), had plans to create a multimedia theme park in Barcelona (where else?) to bring people into their experiments. It never worked out, for financial and other reasons, but I keep thinking: what if it had? I can't even imagine what would have come out of the heads of those three geniuses.

@deeznutsmahboi Check out the original version from Laurie Anderson's Album "Mr. Heartbreak" (one of the best Albums EVER anyway!), IMHO it's the best one. The rhythm track is A LOT better, the singing is more or less identical. The title there is "Excellent Birds", not "This is the Picture" as on Gabriel's Album. Too bad it's not on Youtube. But there is a live version from "Home of the Brave". If you imagine Peter Gabriel's voice instead of the backing singers, you've got the original.
