  • Good job on the seat, The Ninja looks great. I like yellow bikes & cars, I think they stand out better then most. What's the cost to do a seat like this..yl

  • Nice job!

  • Sure can be tricky with custom seats..my dirtbike seat has a custom design on each side towards the back...challenge to put it on, with dirtbikes there is normally a "flap" that is already placed there...mine doesn't have it so you need 2 people, one to hold, one to staple. Difficult, but when people see it, they love customs.

  • Great video thanks for taking the time to post it, gives me encouragement to try it myself.

  • nice dude

  • great video but that music is creepy. Knida like at the beggining of a porn...lol

  • THANKS! This video gave me the info I need to try this with my seat.

  • Nice !!!

  • wow great job! I did my r1 the old fashion way by buying a few sheets of vinyl from my local fabric store.I too used a hair dryer and my trustee staple gun. It came out pretty cool although there's one corner that's kinda crumpled up, barely noticeable. Your seat came out dead nuts though.Perfect fit too!

  • Very useful. cheers mike.

  • Nice job, turned out gorgeous! Great videos by the way.

  • looks great how is the seat holding up

  • @civtecgra

Awesome - two years now and still looks perfect !

  • def. a good job i have also done it. my seat on my cbr900 is getting done by a profesional because of my experiance with a dirtbike seat i did.lol

  • good job man, ive done that before and it does take allot of patience. I think you did good work.

  • Thanks for the amazing DIY! I'm going to grab a set for my zx. I've been screwed so many times on ebay, so it's nice to see such a positive video review.

  • thanks for the tutorial. What kind of seat sealant were you using and where do you get it? Do you absolutely need it or could you maybe even get away with just stapling it to the bike?

  • props dude. i wasnt to fond of the video at first, but you really did do a great job and i had a change of heart! awesome bro!

  • good job dude good job bro that must had been frustrating but good job

  • Looks good and good info. I'll be trying to pull this off with my girl friends 09 Ninja 250, but only one color. Does the 3M spay glue help out alot and does that material shrink up pretty good to get a tight fit?? I bought another seat for her bike and just waiting for the seat cover to get here.

  • The 3M does help because you don't want any shearing from riding. But just be careful. That stuff is TACKY.

Thre is surprisingly little shrinking. So stretch it out good and it should get a nice tight finish. I've done two so far (my 500 and my 250), and pulling a tad tight certainly doesn't hurt.

Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

  • @CBR636ride

    Sorry, accidentally voted down.

  • Amazing!

    5 stars

  • proof that the almighty hairdryer is imperative for every toolbox

  • LOL - Actually, that came out of my bathroom. I actually own a heat gun, but I think that would have been overkill.

    Thanks for watching.

  • where do you buy a heatgun offline. I don't care for buying somthing and having to wait for it to get to me. typical american need for instant gratification. lol

  • hardware store .. home depot should have one ..

  • Hey, really nice work. This video was extremely helpful.

  • Thanks! And Thanks for watching!

  • Great work on the seat. I must say that, when I watched your vid on the reflective wheel strips, I felt that it wasn't for me. But seeing that last shot I am so putting them on my bike. Seriously great mods. Love the front too. Tinted headlight, mirror integrated blinkers...Awesome.

  • awesome video man! great job!

recovering my seat seems less intimidating now lol

  • Super Video,,,,, I have a 1996 SEADOO GTX whose seat cover needs replaced. I bought the cover material. Removed the old cover but didn't know where to start. your way of starting in the middle is a good start. And using a Heat Gun/Hair Dryer is a must. But I'm going to recruit my wife so I have an extra set of strecher hands. And I'm using an air compressor staple gun. It saves on the muscle power. Thanks for sharing your video,,,,, JACK*

  • awesome vids subsrciption :)

  • WOW! You do great DIY work and videos. Congrats on your patience, I wouldnt have the patience for some of your projects - like this one.

  • Bravo. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me what brand stapler gun and staple size(crown) you are exactly using? I have done this only with contact cement and it is going to be much easer being able to staple insted of glueing.

  • you sir, are my bike hero. i hope you don't mind if i steal some of your ideas.

  • you're good at making videos

  • thanks for the vid,after watching i went a recovered my seat.cheers

  • For someone with no upholstery experience I think you did a beautiful job on that and, most importantly, it looks absolutely great on the bike.

  • what is the name of the color you ordered from custom seat creations? I have the same exact bike (yellow 2007 model) and would like to order one.

  • For yellow, I HIGHLY recommend going to a local fabric store and finding a perfect color match. Green, Red and other colors are easier .. Yellow/Orange (or Solar Yellow) is tricky.

  • good demonstration.....5 stars

  • just got mine on and it looks great thanks for the info

  • not a bad vid at all man perfect mix of detail in explantions without drawing it out with 5 mins on heating one spot like so many other simialr vids. good work
