  • Very nice interview!

  • Republicans are jackarses - period!

  • Being absolutist never helps anything. Besides many republicans honestly do believe they're doing the right thing.

  • Very tough interview! Faux is definitely fair and balanced.

  • Obama is selling "we all get along" at the summit. Clearly their is almost nothing they argee on!

  • What a stupid way to spell Bayner.

  • i hope they all walk out on him....or at least knock over obamas teleprompter....

  • whats this mess over Obama and teleprompters, as if no one else uses it. George W. had teleprompters and his still couldn't get the speech right

  • @Iwash myownbrain: The teleprompter issues shows how stupid you people are if you know by now that all the President's have used them.

Guess you don't know anyone without health insurance either... again, shows how out of touch you are.

  • Hey Boehner, you had 8 years to address health care and what did you do??? NOTHING! Too bad we don't have term limits because you need to take your fake ass some place else. "What have you done for me lately"? Maybe if you didn't have insurance you would care. Lord knows you will need it years from now when you look like a wrinkled prune.

  • What they did was not grow the government into healtcare where they dont belong.

  • "This will be a career ending vote..."

For Democrats who vote against real health care reform.

  • @mistergarth 2/3 of the population dont want it.....

  • "2/3 of the population dont want it..."

You can "prove" pretty much anything with some poll or another out there. But generally, a robust public option polls well, while the watered-down, lame piece of crap the Senate passed... yeah, 2/3 opposed is about right.

Remember the polls that actually count? November, 2008 we elected a President who campaigned for a strong public option. We elected Representatives and Senators who campaigned for a public option.

It's time for them to deliver.

  • IWashMyOwnBrain's numbers are horrible.

Hes probably one of those guys who said Barack Obama would never win the presidency because hes black.

  • Boehner is a pussy. I'm so excited to see some logic bombs dropped on the Republican Party tomorrow.

  • @JeffWilsonMusic logic bombs...lol you meen another load of ****

  • What an asshole. California has 30 million people, so the size of the insurance market is not the problem. Being able to buy across state lines will make very little difference. So will tort reform. Texas already did tort reform, and it made almost no difference. These Republican assholes don't give a damn about reality, just keep living in some parallel universe.

  • I don't understand why the Republicans are even going to this summit at all. It's not like Obama is going to even remotely consider anything they have to say, He's just going to turn it into another propaganda piece against the GOP

  • @d00mie74 Yes they should all walk out on his speech...

  • haha Boehner

  • Trillion-dollar bill... eeehxcept that, no, not near that, and not by way of cutting Medicare, and over ten years, and entirely within the realm of possibility that with reduced per person costs, could "cost" not one thin dime... over time.

  • Republicans have to move as a herd.

To think for yourself would be a "career ending" move.

  • I wonder if boner's healthcare plan cover's The Tanning Salon or if he has one at the house? Jerkoff! You may as well just rape some children on your way home tonight. Because your killing them anyway.

  • For Democrats is the same outcome, if they pass the bill they lose elections for forcing the country into a healthcare bill being rejected by both left and right, and if they don't pass the bill they will lose because they tried to pass the healthcare bill. Our current healthcare system is a mess but is not evident to most yet, you need everybody to agree that the system has to be replaced and for that to happen we have to hit bottom first with the current system.

  • I would rather they pass a good bill and get voted out then to pass some watered down shit to save their asses. Americans cannot be stupid enough to believe that our healthcare system isn't a mess. I hope we don't have to hit rock bottom first.

  • As of right now most people are satisfied with their health ins, and they won't change their minds unless faced with a situation where they can see the flaws in the system affect them. Another thing that will eventually change people's minds is that the number of uninsured will grow bc employers can't afford it and it keeps getting more expensive. People only see the 3rd that they pay in their paystubs and are clueless about the actual cost. 10 years from now we'll all be begging for reform.

  • So in other words Americans have been living under a rock for the past 30 years. But I personally cannot wait. As a college student I don't have much time left on my moms insurance so pretty soon i'll be out there without it. My best friend got bit by a spider and had to bandage it up herself. Her leg was swollen for a month all because she didn't have insurance. Her fucking foot could of fell off! Americans need to get their shit together. Wake up

  • There's a rebuttal for that, she could've gone to the ER and save her leg. I am for reform and I hope that health insurance is made available to everybody at an affordable rate, but most people don't care about it and it is easy for republicans to turn public opinion against it because we are not at that point where it is clear to most people that this system is pricing people out of health insurance.

  • Boner

  • Yeah whatever you do.... don't allow the plan to be explained clearly and openly to the American people.

  • Wait wait wait wait... he's criticizing the "giant government bureaucracy" that's slimming itself down by trimming the giant government program that is Medicare!?

  • GOP= NO NO NO

  • all they really have to do is show up, let's see if they will.

  • it takes one to know one.

    cheers! ;-)

  • LOL. This dumb ass basically just announced on LIVE TV his vote on the bill. Career ending my ass, you Republican ass holes just want all your corporate money.

  • the republican plan cut more people out how does that help anyone.

  • It helps the health care industry.

  • Government-run healthcare is evil but we have to protect medicare...

  • lol

  • boehner is so stupid. he use reconciliation for iraq war bush tax cuts

  • fox news is a 24 hour, 365 day a year infomercial

  • Repeat after me:

    Fox is not news.

  • word! and let's not forget how he did it - by holding some health care negotiations off-camera a couple weeks ago, waiting for everyone (including progressives, but especially FOX) to go after him for lack of transparency, then ka-BLAM! locking in this televised bi-partisan conference. Obama is playing on a 3-d chess board. Meanwhile the GOP is cheating at checkers.

    cheers! ;-)

  • He's such a stooge.

  • Words like muscle, scheme, plot, force... Finding random negative quotes about the democratic position and asking if republicans agree with out pointing our other argument or point of view, giving a constant republican lie spewing platform completely un-fact checked with no real questions. Fox is disgusting...

  • @Taboda

"ram down our throats" is my favorite one

  • Of all politicians, I hate Boehner the most. I just can't believe that someone who thinks there should be a government spending freeze can get as much credibility as he gets.

  • WTF has this been but an 'informercial' brought to you by a power hungry democrat controlled White House, Senate and House?

The reason the spineless democrats haven't passed this bill in-spite of not needing repub support is they know it's political suicide.

I hope they do pass it... sitting ducks this Nov.

  • He's definitely spent 6 hours on TV talking about how worried about it he is. But then again, blocking 290 Bills leaves you with a lot of off time to make appearances on FOX news.

  • Okay Boehner, then don't make it a 6 hour infomercial of GOP conniving and ignorance, and instead go in with the intention of making concessions to get the bill passed.

He's trying to do pre-damage control because he realizes the GOP is going to be revealed as bringing nothing to the discussion but obstructionism.

  • If the democratic bill is flawed think of the Republicans! It's probably just Tax cuts for insurance companies.

  • @PhillyWargamer You know the GOP Bill is nothing but Tax Cuts for Insurance Companies! I try to be level headed as possible and the GOP only know Tax cuts, Abortion, Gay Marriage, and list of words like liberty, freedom, socialism, communism & since Obama Nazi. They use religion to gather a near majority & FEAR, LIES & simpleminded phrases to put them over the top in most elections...And their Media FOX News & Talk Radio drive their message.

  • Exactly, they can't think past the talking points they're handed each morning. If they did they would see how twisted they are. I mean really, the other day they were talking about taking away the rights of working gays. Nobody in their circle of hatred sees how wrong that is.

  • Two words. Oompa Loompa.

  • scheming and plotting and yet the Republicans have resorted 81% of the time as compared to Democrats in the last 20 years. ROFL @ their hypocracy.

  • i'd like to shove the bill down his throat...hopefully would shut him up

  • John Boehner is a JOKE!

  • WHY ARE YOU ORANGE!?

  • Dumpster diving at Chuck E Cheese.

  • He looks like he's in need of a cigarette after blowing a putt at the 18th.

  • show us your hand !

  • Boehner on behalf of all Americans, please SHUT THE HELL UP!! and quit your bitching. Funny how no one was saying anything when Bush and friends used reconciliation on a number of issues but when democrats do it, its unconstitutional. And fox as always can go fuck itself

  • I don't see the health care summit doing any good for the american people. Obama is showing no leadership as a president and to pass a health care bill without a public option doesn't make any sense to me. Obama is a one term president and Ron Paul will put the republicans back in the WH come 2012 with the republicans cleaning house in congress this year. The democrats are nothing but the dixiecrats.

  • Do you think Ron Paul will give you the "public option"?

  • I know Ron Paul won't give a shit about the little people because HELLO, HE'S A REPUBLICAN. But the way the dixiecrats are acting in congress as well as obama, both obama and the dems will lose big time this year and 2012. And obama is not keeping his promises as a president when we elected him. How you gonna pass health care without a public option? Trust me when I say this MrHelldogger, Ron Paul will blow obama out come 2012 cause obama is not fighting for the american people.

  • @harlem0987 Obama not keeping promises? You need to go back to basic American Gov & realize how it works! If you think Obama can generate congressional votes by using the Jedi Mind trick then I can see where you are coming from otherwise THINK!

Obama is trying to pass a bill that will get the ball rolling. If the current bill Obama introduced passes there would be very much needed changes. The PO would be nice but THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH VOTES!!!!!!!!

  • @harlem0987 Oh yeah, Ron Paul would never win an election over Obama or anyone else. Ron Paul is not the benign character you think he is either...HE IS A RELIGIOUS REPUBLICAN which means continued appointments of religious nut jobs and more catering to the rich & corps! THINK!

  • You don't seem to be the average washbrain leftist. This same thing happened to Clinton. He pushed socialized medicine, lost congress his first off year election, then the rpubs threw the election by running Bob Dole just so they could drag the nation through all that impchmnt crap(over nothong) in an attempt to fleese us conservative for money. That's when I woke up to the repub party. I don't think that'll happen with Obama. I agree with you. He'll be a 1 term wonder & it's really a shame.

  • I'm not sure what you're suggesting. If you think that Ron Paul, a guy who thinks pot should be decriminalized, gays should be left alone, the American Empire should be dismantled, and Israel should withdraw from palestine could get the GOP nomination, you're nuts.

On the other hand, if you're saying he'll provide just enough libertarian rhetoric to sucker enough libertarians into voting Republican again to shift the balance back to the GOP, you're probably right.

  • Yep, he's going to be used like he always is.

  • I love how people try and pretend his name is pronounce Baner. It goes B-O. Yes, its boner.

  • I don't call him anything other than DICK

  • I used to think you say his name As John Boner (Boehner) lol. XD
