TY folks for sharing your lives with so many of us, made huge imprssions that did more than you'll ever know for so very many, TY!!
Man I wish I was old enough during the 90's to understand what was going on in these games. Unfortunatley I was painting my nails and playing with barbie dolls when all this was happening (girl). Great video, the song is perfect.
Wow, I had forgot how good Scott was... Thanks for reminding me. In case his head needs deflated, maybe Taylor can watch this video and see what true domination is all about. What a great arm and accuracy with ridiculous wheels. Unreal...
@deezdominates my ass he was not a leader he was a beast but not a leader tebow is the best you retard yes i liked this video but scot was no where close to a leader people on the documents said he was a cocky
arogent ass hole to bad i mean he backed it up as you see in this video but... tebow can run and throw and is a fantastic leader you are getting frost and tebow mixed up there bud... frost was only a running qb tebow is both which makes a deffense as i would know from experience frustrates the hell out of but hey you gotta respect him he won a super bowl for Nebraska so
I was born in 1991. I went to my first Husker football game on October 4th, 1997. We played #17 K-State and won 56-26. Scott Frost was and most likely will be my favorite Husker of all-time. He was the first player I ever got the chance to meet. He autographed my t-shirt (which still hangs in my close to this day). His toughness and love for the game were visible in his playing style and I can honestly say that he was the one who made me the die hard Husker fan I am today. Thanks #7 and GBR!
Scott Frost's biggest mistake at Nebraska was that he came right after Tommie Frazier. These are some really awesome highlights of him. Very underrated QB at Nebraska for what he did IMO.
Frost was a straight beast. He In fact his mom coached Scott to the state shot put title his senior year, despite the fact that he was considerably smaller than his competitors.
Scott's best throw in high school was 61 feet, 1-plus inches, but he needed only a throw of 58-9-plus to win state. That included beating one of his 300-pound offensive linemen at Nebraska, starting right tackle Eric Anderson.
Basically he was faster and more powerful than someone like Tebow.
I agree he is a tough and very strong guy. And he looks even bigger today than when he played at Nebraska. Still have to say Tim Tebow is also a very strong guy and as tough of a QB as Scott ever was. But bot Frost and Tebow are to examples of great quarterbacks!!
Scott frost was a stud! There isnt a QB that has played since that could dish out pain like him. He never slid like the pussies now he just lowered his shoulder and hit like a train
I take that back he is coaching wide receivers at Oregon now...He coached at Nebraska in 2002...Kansas State in 2006 and Northern Iowa in 2007 - 08...He also played for the Cleveland Browns along with the other teams you listed.
Scott was in the NFL as a Saftey for the Jets and spent some time at Green Bay and with Tampa. He deserved alot more credit he never got the chance to shine in the NFL because he was a white guy playing in the defensive secondary.
Tommy was best. Crouch and Frost aren't comprable, Crouch had more leg talent, but I would pick up Frost before crouch running a power O option. If I were running a WVU type spread, Crouch, Florida like spread Frost, WCO Gill.
now a days i see nfl pro QB's that have a wide open field to run, and everytime i see on eof those guys i would think, "scott frost would of ran through that wide open space" ya know? he wasnt scared to run, nor scared of anyone, and thats why i loved the way scott frost played
It's true. I don't understand why the pros hate running QB's so much. I mean, I understand that if you only have a one-dimensional offense then the defense can just overload against the run, but if you run a triple option offense a) the defense will have trouble overloading and b) it'll open the pass game enough that an average passer could put up some pretty good numbers.
Holy Crap! Man gets beat by Arizona St., is like the first Husker to ever get freaking boo'd by fans at Memorial Stadium...looses his FREAKIN mind and starts looking for trouble on that field! Becomes one the toughest men to ever where that red N, and takes on Payton Manning to win the 97 nat. championship....whotf is Eric Crotch!?! SCOTT FROST MUTHA!!!!!
Everyone forgets that he did something Penn State couldn't do in 1995; convince voters to give them a share of the National Title. If anyone has the post-game interview from the 97 Neb-Tenn game, you'll see what I mean. Man, Scott Frost kicked ass!!!
Crouch was faster, but that's about it. Frost was very arguably better in every other way. Yes, he had better talent around him. But just the same, he was smarter, made better decisions in general, made fewer mistakes, threw fewer INTs, was a more accurate passer in general for most of his career, was a stronger runner, and was much more accurate on his pitches. Eric was great, though.
Just keep telling yourself that. This may shock you, but there's more to being a great QB than running for a 95-yard TD or winning the Heisman. As I said above, Frost was better at managing the offense. Crouch was faster, but that's the only thing he was better at. I already pointed out multiple, specific things that Frost was clearly better at, not to mention the fact that he led his team to an undefeated season and a national title.
Frost had better offensive personnel around him, I'll grant you. But Crouch had a better overall defense in '99 than Frost had when the '97 team won a national title. Either way, it comes down to making plays. Crouch got stuffed on fourth down runs and fumbled the ball against Texas in '99. By comparison, Frost made clutch plays and didn't make mistakes in leading NU to the title in '97. But I can see we're at an impasse. I'm glad you enjoyed watching Eric, as did I.
idk why im arguing with a husker cuz im a husker .. but in my opinion i think if crouch was on the 97 team . he wud of done just as good as frost or even better . and crouch had an amazing arm . i hate when ppl say crouch cudnt throw . ive seen him throw past the 50 yd line in2 the endzone .. but either way frost and crouch were amazing... and im sorry to disagree . but 97 NU had a waaay better dfense than 99 NU .. haha they had christian peter and grant wistrom mann come on now
Crouch had a good arm, he just wasn't consistently accurate, made bad decisions, had a not-that-great career TD-INT ratio, whereas Scott's was one of the best in school history. '97 defense was great against the run, not so great against the pass (although did great against Peyton Manning). Very inexperienced secondary. '99 defense was better statistically in many categories, better overall, I'd say (with veterans in Mike and Ralph Brown, etc) and did so against very arguably a tougher schedule.
Scott's rape and murder will be a VICTORY for true lovers of the game!!!
whoever the lucky stalker is who cums in his rectum before slitting his throat will be a TRUE HERO to the game!!!
and if Scott's lucky, he'll get a reacharound before his death!! he can GET OFF before he GETS OFFED!!!!
