  • i read the book when it first came out and while i watched the movie i felt a bit nostalgic :l

  • It's hard to imagine, but it was pictured 110 years ago :o

  • thanks !! is incredible

  • A Piece Of Art !!!! It's 2012 and this film is still entertaining to watch !

  • something so fantasictical about the whole thing

  • is this the real deal or a re-enactment?

  • What the fuck is going on?

  • I'm here thanks to a young man named Hugo Cabret. What about you?

  • Fantastic, thumbs up if Hugo Cabret brought you here! :D

  • @SaintRodimus i knew about george melies before i saw hugo

  • Well...this looks better of an ambitious budget for NASA next year than the current administration allows.

  • Funny, first scifi was all the time Steampunk

  • FUCK THIS VOICE

  • Excellent! The Classic by the Granddady of VFX Artists!

  • They came back to Earth by falling off a cliff on the moon? Why didn't they use this method to get there in the first place? Or is pedantry not applicable to things over 100 years old?

  • Finally! It makes a lot more sense with the found ending. Previously ending with the capsule going off the cliff tended to leave one with the impression that the men met a bad end!! Also couldn't help but think that 25 years later, the Paris reception greeting Charles Lindbergh as the first to merely cross the Atlantic solo was far bigger than for the astronauts safe return to earth from the moon as depicted here, LOL!!!

  • yessssssssss finally! the fulll version i been wanting to whach this vesion forever! THANK YOU

  • Awesome - been wanting to watch this for years!

  • i watched this movie before hugo was in theatres and i watched it and it brang me right back here

  • Thumbs up for Hugo

  • im researching this for my project for the invention of hugo cabret

  • girls are annoyed. why I am not surprised

  • N.A.S.A & the U.S.S.R can teach from this!

  • Why was there a narration?

  • Comment removed

  • @randoley I wondered also but read elsewhere that Melies had written this script to be read during the playing of the film back in 1902.

  • @randoley read the description, the entire audio track was created live in a theatre in vancouver. the film was played and the band Maria in the Shower created the original soundtrack and Bruno Hubert provided original narration. The audio of this peice is entirely new as of 2010.

  • So..."space marines" have been cliche since 1902? Someone should inform every first person shooter maker of this.

  • No, the best version is the video clip of "Tonight tonight", a song of the Smashing Pumpinks!!! looooool

  • the sharpest and completed version online awsome <3 5 stars

  • how can i see the colored version?

  • This is great! Is it an edit of the original? It seems a lot slower and the light/dark contrast is much better.

  • Awesome! I was looking for a version that had the full ending (as recently discovered). BONUS that it was so clear and well done throughout!

  • This is the most complete and clear version of the film I've ever seen. My compliments!
