I would question why a vegetarian like Elmer Fudd would want to create Rabbit Stew when he shows no indication of having company beyond himself but I guess such a trait was a later development of Elmer's character (that or this Mr. Fudd is a meat eating twin named Elmo or something!).

3:25 This is probably my favorite Bugs Bunny moment. Bugs leaves the house with such conviction but then immediately starts banging on the door. Then he enters, "Hello", and just stands there cutely. ^_^
I love the ending, where Bugs just "breaks through the fourth wall" and points out to Elmer the theatrical audience watching them {"...and the guy back there in the 17th row with a cute tomato...."}, THEN plays "head tricks" with "us"....

3:25 This is probably my favorite Bugs Bunny moment. Bugs leaves the house with such conviction but then immediately starts banging on the door. Then he enters, "Hello", and just stands there cutely. ^_^

True story: I was in a hospital elevator along with a doctor and I mentioned "Dr. Kill Patient" to him.... To my surprise he knew about the cartoon!!

I love the ending, where Bugs just "breaks through the fourth wall" and points out to Elmer the theatrical audience watching them {"...and the guy back there in the 17th row with a cute tomato...."}, THEN plays "head tricks" with "us"....

Originally released in November 1945. "He don't know me very well, do he?" was Red Skelton's catchphrase whenever he played "Junior, the Mean Widdle Kid" on his radio show. In this cartoon, Bugs was a wiseguy and "heckler" (and points this out to the audience watching him), determined to play "head tricks" with Elmer by faking an epidemic, making him think HE'S got "rabbititus".
"Goigle, goigle....why don't ya' pay your water bill, Doc?". :)
