The diagrams are freely available on the internet - published online with permission. From the pdf file, it says that the diagram was originally published in Russian Origami vol 13 3-1998 pp 45 to 49. sorry, but youtube is not allowing to type in URL, to find diagram, try google Revealed Flower or go to Origami Resource Center, link of the week, February 2009.

The shape of the model before you open up the flaps is a dodecahedron. You don't "put" the dodecahedron in the middle, the model is a dodecahedron.

I am experimenting a method to make this without using glue! The units are based on the modular star found in the book "action origami".
