I have never really heard Big L. But I don't really listen to much rap because it's mostly garbage now.

I'd also like to add Tech N9ne into the mix as a good rapper and SPM should also be mentioned. SPM is one of the most underrated and original rappers ever.

Oh, I never listened to much NY based hip hop or much eastcoast shit because I was born on the Pacific coast during the west/east battle shit, although Rakim is from NY and one of my favorite rappers. I'll have to check out Big L.

Have you heard much SPM? His chorus's can be kind of weak like most rappers but his flow is unreal, you almost never hear him rap anything that's been done before, and he has created some of the dopest lines ever.
