  • there goes my idea smh

  • @ChristopherJacques What your saying is true, why do japan still need police?

  • some one has to deliver the food to the tables so waiters hare still going to be needed..

  • @kpxlee7 Well maybe people are sick of paying tips for no reason at all. =P

But really, in Japan, there are tons of self order systems. Some places even use old train ticket dispensers swapping destinations with food items.

  • It's a great idea which is already been done by our company - Conceptic Ltd.

After years of experience in the digital restaurant menu field (with our eMenu product) we've launched the iPad menu for restaurant.

It's a beautiful product which will increase your restaurant sales.

    Check out our YouTube channel!

  • @ConcepticEmenu and where can i get this application?

  • @sucra87

You can contact us at eti@conceptic.co.il

  • LOL... brilliant ideal ipad menu! people come for ipad, not for food... once finish, pay the bills and take ipad home with you...

  • Asian is just one step better than USA and Africa is last place in everything... how is a black man a USA president?

  • @Johnnyboybravo Half white.

  • man i'll have 100 IPADs in one day ............I'm rich bitch

  • Asians are strange. The rituals are fucking crazy.

  • related topic! check this out ... sushi backgammon on the iPad!

go to itunes and look for sushi backgammon.....

  • What is to prevent a customer from walking out with an IPad?

  • @radbcc It's called intelligence. Japanese understand that stealing just puts a strain on the society as a whole, and results in higher prices all around. They respect each other (and they also have way harsher laws and prisons) =)

  • @radbcc install it inside the table and secured.

  • i dont think people in the western worlds will implement this instead of a waiter because generally speaking people like being served by a waiter, its much more personal and i really dont see this happening.. and its not like ipad is the first with this possibility, this wouldv been implemented long before the ipad IF it was really that usefull. (sorry for my english)

  • the iPad game called "SushiBackgammon" IS GREAT AND WOULD WORK WELL WITH THE MENU

  • good idea

  • the kitchen of nervous sadistic asiatics is the zoo

  • its ok, the would have been waiters can now go cure cancer :)

    technology rules!

  • Waiters should start applying for jobs at the iPad's factory !

Will Steve Jobs collect all the tips ??

  • gives new meaning to dine and ditch

  • ask for free Ip@d here ipad 2 go dot info

  • LOL next thing you know the customer just dipped the restaurant with the ipad GG

  • can u blend it ?

  • I wouldn't spend my money on an iPad in the first place, if I ever stepped into a place that required you to use an iPad to order your food. I would just walk out, I own a few apple products and I love them. It will make it so there is job-loss. Most waiters work for restruants to help pay for college, and they only make mimmum wage most of what they make is from the tips they get. I do not want to see this in America ever.

  • wow that is awesome

  • Does it need to be an ipad? that's an expensive menu, and we're talking a full restaurant? I'd just build some cheap menu into the table and have it go dark when the food comes. I mean, you can order with the ipad, but someone still has to bring you the food, so I' imagine there would still be waiters.

  • Lost jobs is your complaint because of technology? Your not happy about progress??

I know a great community where you complain about jobs not being replaced... i believe it's called Amish....

  • ...and this is why the japanese are better.

  • @Mariofan800 better than who?

  • if you fucking asians are capable of doing this fucking things, you better be as creative to create jobs for the people who lost theirs because of your stupid ass toys.

  • oh damnit it i spiled my coke on the menu :D

  • Why flip thru pages and talk with other ppl, when u can just use the ipad! -__-

  • wow,

one lazy as fuck thought it was to much of a challenge to flip through pages and actually "talk" to someone to place an order.

    so they invented this App

  • Well, they need someone to give out the ipads xD

  • This is why are social skills suffer so much, just TALK.

TALK on the phone. TALK in person. SMILE, MAKE SMALL TALK with strangers.

  • i dnt think they will let you take the menu outside

  • the ipad cant bring u the food,,

  • waiters are fucked...

  • @jewifeifei it's only a matter of time...

  • @jewifeifei but ipad dont bring you food

  • I went to New York (can't remember whether it was laguardia or JFK) but the airport had a burger restaurant that had the same idea and you could choose exactly which toppings you wanted/ sides and drinks etc. Only difference is it was not on an ipad it was on a regular touch screen computer and they didn't seem to have a problem with theft.

  • @srekal88 sadly your right, people in US will probably go to that restaurant just to steal their ipads.

  • @bro589 Yeah they would go in there and take them.

  • Now we can save money by buying 300 dollar ipads instead of 10 dollar menus

  • @TheFrance323 yes, buy the $300 ipad that going to last for hopefully a year instead of paying a waitress like 150 a month --_-- i think it save money more then u think

  • Oh no! we used to have to OPEN a menu, and TURN the pages...such a hassle

  • @srekal88

thats global problem - immature people...

  • a problem with this is that you cant customize the orders

  • @kpxlee7 ohh noooooo ppl are going to have to learn to do something other than take orders and wait on ppl omgggggg. those ppl can clean houses gd

  • japs trying to kill our economy lol JK

  • the book is slimmer lighter so much cheaper and it gives jobs to people lol worst idea

  • @srekal88 Agreed, However i dont know if you have ever been in a Sheetz Branch Convenience Store but they actually have a touch screen mounted to the counter where you order what you want and its then made to order. So self ordering will work, they would need a way to make it with something cheaper to replace and mount it to a table or wall or something.

  • Oh great, NO NEED FOR WAITERS, c'mon, seriously? :c

  • That's pretty cool! I'd love to have one...but I lack theee munny. Japan always comes up with cool ideas

  • you dont tip machines dumbass...

  • @tacoslocos1 it was a joke dumbass :P

  • @zecnobot dude, calm down!! PEOPLE THESE DAYS!!!!

  • but how do i tip an ipad?do i give it 15 or 20 percent?

  • @srekal88 depends on where it is implemented. Obviously you won't see this in a mcdonalds, but in a prestigious and expensive high class restaurant it can definitely be seen as a possibility.

  • @Netherfist ACtually i disagree. I could see it more at use in a fast food restaurant than a high class one. You will find that a large majority of people would rather deal with a human being than to use a machine. For the time being that is...

Only reason i say that is a work in a Grocery Store and people prefer to go through a line and wait than to use a Self Checkout machine because there is no customer service EVER from a machine.

  • im a random add, scrolly upy. Refresh! without pressing refresh you could wasting time watching our add

  • Things I envisioned years ago are now coming about. That means humans are fck*ed because the next tech toys will be terminators.

  • Well with the iPad all you do is slide your finger instead of those nasty flipping movements!

  • @srekal88 As opposed to another country where they wouldn't?

Mexico has the highest crime rate in north America. Good try hard ass.

  • @kpxlee7 Not really, should help the waitresses out. They still have to bring out the food, and re-fill drinks. This looks like it will make your order more accurate and less prone to mistakes!

  • What's up with his head? He nods his head in a really strange way.

  • @kpxlee7 Well, how about studying more at school to get a better job later.

  • wow this is cool check out my videos.

    HITCHHIKE IKE

  • Yeah, generally right before I eat something, I really love to handle an object than a vast number of strangers have put their hands on. REALLY appetizing.

  • i saw this kind of thing few years ago in one restaurant, not that new tho, but ye apple is reinventing it :)

  • wow who cares

  • @kpxlee7 its 2010

  • do not adopt this .people will loose employement

  • thats one pricey menu, literally:P

  • EXCUSE ME, i clicked on no salt! my phone said NO SALT, and there are LARGE grains of salt floating around in the glass...

  • Sooo... instead of laminated paper menus that cost like 50c to $1 that are pretty durable and easily replaced, they plan on giving the customer an iPad to use which costs $100's of dollars? They'll probably gain back the money from the iPads if they fire all the waiters and waitresses, but personally I think this sort of thing could only work in Japan. They are so technology oriented and are becoming a lot more introverted than most of the rest of the world. I like the human element in ordering.

  • @randyrhoads159 i think that you're suppose to bring your own, not get one from the restraunt

  • @MazinMark

Oooohhh that makes more sense lol

  • What if we spill something on the menu OOPS im not paying for that !

  • how long do you think till mcdonalds has this?

  • @TrollingForYou i was gonna ask the same thing, lol, hey mcdonalds will be the first in line i am sure, they probably have it on back order right now

  • ipad=bigger ipod touch. aka ipod touch that doesn't fit in ur pocket. aka garbage

  • i'd rather order with humans....

come check out some STARCRAFT2 non-pussy pro commentaries if you're bored....peace

  • THE BEST NEW SONG IN THE WORLD --> PRESS THE TALOSSH BUTTON !!

  • cool =D

  • Crap. I wait tables. I'm screwed.

  • ok what happens if you 80 year old person with there grandchild who does not know how to work this they accidently order something they do not want or order over 100 dollars of food what happens then i perfer person you have question or subsitute sideorder with another you can do that i pad can not who is to say whe nyo uget there ipad will charged when you get use ipad battery has not been charged your waiting longer for another ipad you could have allready made your order by then

  • self-ordering system at mcdonald's would be a step in the right direction

  • We have to go to the opposite way.

Enough with this world who only thinks about profit and have no regard to the individual.

I want to go to restaurants where I can talk to the waiter and even be his friend.

  • That sucks. I want someone I can screech at besides my iPad. They're trying to take someone to screech at out of the equation. Not gonna happen, bitches!

  • Wow... so uh.. whats gonna happen to the waitresses?

not looking forward to my job being replaced by a ipad...

  • lazy.

  • You know Microsoft came out with this idea like 6 years ago right with the table computer thingy? I forget the name but it was like a tabletop computer where the table was the computer and they would install them in restaurants(the idea was) and you could swipe your credit card and order and everything...Hope apple doesn't think theyre being original from this.

  • way to get rid of millions of jobs...

  • @Sauce1v Naw, they still need workers to serve food, drinks, and taking care of customers. It just makes ordering easier.

  • 0:01 like to skip ad!!!

  • Kind of cool, but I'm not a big fan of how everything in the world is being "digitized".

  • Man fuck, I had this idea a few years ago...how do I pitch ideas to businesses? I got many and every time I'm like "nah, it wont work", it fucken comes out.

  • @bastrop78418 Usually the best way to go about it (as far as I know) is to get the idea pattiented. If you do that, it'll legally be yours and no one else can use it without your permission.

  • Archos 9 is much better !!!

  • There needs to be interaction the feel of a person catering to your wishes when you go out to eat. Automation of it will make good sit down restaurants feel like just a fast food joint.

There is a novelty of someone greeting you and waiting on you that people want and need when they go out to eat.

  • @tionis Why would someone need an acne covered kid to bring them their food? We live in the digital age so everyone is on the go and wants to get in and out faster. If you want a traditional meal, learn how to cook yourself and save over $300.00 a year.

  • I find that this is not useful... not when this is a food stand. But it may be useful to the bigger sit down restaurants where staffing is limited. It will be easier to help get orders in much quicker. Still the idea of Automated food ordering and hardly having any waitress/garcon while you're out for a good meal will take away some of the flair of going out to eat.

  • obligatory note people. this service is not designed for apple exclusively, it just happens to be imported to it and it just happens to be ipad. previous iteration of the same idea was on portable touchscreen type of system and it has been around for quite a while. continue your hate towards apple (i know i will), just get yer facts straight.

  • It is stupid.

Just another way to make us less social and more lazy. Damn you Apple.

  • Is this useful? NO!

  • THATS AWESOME. lmao

  • This idea can be quite useful for Americans visiting Japan. Instant translation, picture identification, point and touch "click" to order. Handy for some of us who are too lazy to say "No wasabi" in Japanese. I <3 Technology!

  • stupid what if you don't want onions

  • @thatgirlisflyytt Theres an app for that. =]

  • bullshit fuck that ima take that shit

  • no more upset servers giving you s h i t because of stupid reasons...

hope this puts an end to having to be worried about them spitting your food .......

    god bless technology

  • @fffgffgfg I'm sure they'll still need waiters so grandmas etc can place orders.

  • I would like to see some of these in restaurant where i go LOL.

    That would be entertaining.

  • if u want to do this it would be like paying 50waiter instead of 10 ipads

  • note to self, I must nod my head every 2 seconds. lol

  • Thats cool!!!...but one problem....imagine your grandma using it...she's gonna be like how the hell do u use this lol. XD just saying, but i think it's really cool

  • even though the ipadissleek and shiny i am going to go towardthe HP slate which has a camera front/back so i can skype portably.

  • Ok so this just makes waiters and waitresses lose their job. Not a good idea

  • People seem to miss the point. A customer would use his own iPad to access the menu o any restaurant using the system.

  • This would make ordering at a drive-thru Subway (yes, they exist!) a lot easier when handling larger orders. The software some Subways use is annoying when everything has to be put in precise order and you can't insert something that was missed, three sandwiches ago!

  • Hardly at all useful, and very expensive. The first week they set out the iPads some stupid kid will mash his hands on it and break the stupid thing.

Also, there might be a few elderly people who won't know how to use it, so they'll probably still have to have people around, which sorta defeats the point of self-ordering.

The only way that this kinda thing would work is if it was ordering for those faggy computer cafes.

  • When Burger King experimented with robot order takers (to cut costs) they discovered an unexpected benefit. People ordered more items and larger sizes from the machine than they did from people. Apparently customers were less concerned about what the machines thought of their gluttony.

  • I think its a stupid idea.

  • People seem to be negative about this, but this is one step closer to the future.

  • Why does he have to Nod all the time?

  • I think the Ipods and all that new stuff are oversized FRID chips.

  • The black girl that didnt go to college is going to be upset when she finds out that shes gonna be replaced for an ipad

  • @MiSTAAAHMEK your a fuckin retard

  • @JellYbOoGoO how am i a fucking retard explain it to me. If those devices were to comercialize then there would be a loss of jobs because cashiers are not going to be needed anymore. So explain it to me whos the retard?...

  • If they hit the menu button teh menu is gone.

If someone steals it which will happen

HES RUNNING AWAY WITH MUH MENU!11!!!!!1!!!!

  • Couldnt do that here. Americans Steal. Hey, Im American but I said it. lol. "Someone stop that guy running away with our Menu's...I mean IPADS!." Ha!

  • Aaron, this was your idea

  • wixer

  • 1:20 i like the finger he's using.

  • But imagine that they use the ipad not just to order but also to play those crazy japanese games like mario party or something else, between the people that are on the table and the people surrounding them. It could be fun, a tournament of pac man before you have your meal :). About Apple being overrrated, Do you know that song..." If you don't wanna an Ipad, dont buy it" :)

  • my htc hero can make same and it cost less and he have multitasking, i can read 4 menus at the time, can the ipad do that ? Answer NO. You pay just for logo so why do you need that. Learn about HTC and Android, save your money.

  • why do asians always shake their head when they talk ?

  • @nutzw1 to influence you into agreeing with them.

    .....jk i dunno.

  • 0:01

  • Cool idea but not very wallet friendly. It would take quite a while to get the money back that they spent on ordering all those damn iPad's, even if it DID increase the restaurant's revenue. Not to mention that almost all of the restaurant's would have to increase the number of cooks with so many orders coming in at once...they might even have to increase the size of the place!

  • @TheJomogogo lol mexicoons

  • i believe this is eco friendly yes, cost effective no.

  • run and tell that, homeboy

  • @Shift29 u r so dumb, for real

  • In Asia alot of the menus have pictures of the item, which is great for foreigners who cannot read the language (of whichever country they're in). I cannot understand why more restaurants do not do this!! This ipad menu thing is kinda cool, but probably not cheap, and most medium sized restaurants would probably not want to do this within the next 3 years.

  • thats kind of nice cause you can actually look at the item youre going to eat. Versus alot of menus only offering descriptions.

  • @Redemptioner123

I'm pretty sure the menu itself is what had the pictures, not the app. Any menu, including the ones with descriptions, can be scanned in and used with the app.

  • @TheJomogogo show how much class you have, you probably steal it. Racist Motherfucker.

  • @luverdude you're not welcome in america

  • why do they do sharp nods when they talk !!!

  • So, Japanese are Apple fanboys too. That's disapointing.

  • @stefanmetodijev You can't judge a whole race by what a group likes. Thats like calling Americans Nazis when only a small group exist.

  • @samn100 I WAS JUST KIDDING.

  • @stefanmetodijev ok ok calm down. Perhaps some sushi? :D

  • @samn100 No, thank you. I prefer tuna, or caviar.

  • I have an Ipenis that is touchsensitive

  • I'm more surprised to hear they have a Izakaya Expo, instead of the iPad menu

  • no more getting my order wrong

  • Bleh, seen it coming.

  • Apple is overrated. There are many good tablets with Android, that work just as well.

  • @Alexandruioancuza

Where are they? Where are those Android tablets that are being used for stuff like this?

  • @Alexandruioancuza are you kidding me? Where do you see android tablets doing this kind of stuff? if apple is so overrated, why does it's performance on the stock market shows over 20 times better than dell? THINK! the smartphone market that we encounter today would not have even existed if it wasn't for apple! moreover, the android app market only has a third of the amount of apps apple offers! this is in addition to a really really slow network! sure att has bad customer service, but its FAST

  • @disneya380 Android can, and does, run on any network. Including Sprint 4G.

  • @Fredericks3214 yes, yes it does. you have no defense other than that, however?

  • @disneya380 It wasn't a defense. It's a fact is all. You can't say Android just runs on a slow network. That's misleading. Yes it does, but it also runs on the fastest..

  • @Alexandruioancuza correction

    "That work better"

    Kthxbye
