The reason I think we should have a public option is that government health care's main concern is not making a profit. They won't throw you off for having a pre-existing condition.

Health insurance costs a lot because it can, they've consolidated and used their power in government to make it so. Neither side is "right." What we need is to just get government entirely out of the game altogether. Add some competition to the market (instead of the pretend competition we have now) and things will change.
