  • I've been doing a same kind of thing , duno what it is in lbs but i got 28 kilos of weights ( 4x5KG plates & 2x 4 kg plates) , put em in a decent hiking rucksack with blankets rolled up to keep the weights stable and not moving around insde the bag , put the bag on , then do the press up.. also do a mixture of wide grip and close grip so ur working the inside and out side of the chest :D.. u will get strong as hell.

  • are weighted push ups better than bench pressing i workout alone i dropped a barbell with 275lbs on my chest don't wanna do that again

  • @weathered79 weighted pushups are superior to the bench press in that they are much safer to do alone, and they hit your arms, shoulders, abs, triceps and back very hard. obviousley you will eventully platau with the weighted pushups but until then they are a great exercise.

  • it is possible to do these pushups with regular gym weights right?

  • how much does the sandbag weigh?

  • does doing weights push ups give your any muscles mass?

  • these are great for building strength and mass..it really comes down to challenging yourself and continually progressing in terms of difficulty. Same applies for all exercises you do.

  • yes it does your pushing up more resistance with weighted push ups max out until u cant do anymore even if its 4 pushups you'll get stronger in a week

  • good question. it is ideal to get someone to help you, but it can be done alone. It make a few times to get it down, but it's possible.
