@JenStar71 thats bcuz its originally pronounced Lanma. in japan its common for names that start with a R to be pronounced with a L. like in La Corda D'oro Primo passo they were confused if a Journal marked with a R began to Len or Ryotaro.

The Japanese ら (ra) is actually very close to a hybrid of la and ra. Her pronunciation of Ranma is spot on...I've lived in Japan recently, and that is how everyone pronounces ら ^_^

It was a real pleasure to find a fan dub of this where the words were properly in sync with the music.

The tone may have been a little bit flat but the timing of the words was right on with the music. Having sung with a few thrown together choirs, I can tell you that tone is usually easier to fix with practice than timing. The trick is to listen repeatedly to the correct tone and then try to reproduce it. If you have the right tone for the start the rest follows if you know the tune.
