I agree that that was very rude of them to cut him off and that he was a very good source of information, but you also have to think about the general chaos of the day and all of the info that the anchors had to convey. Also keep in mind that the anchors have to remain rather objective about what they report, and they may have loved ones in those buildings and they aren't necessarily thinking about "Oh, I have to be polite to everyone" when they have that much stress. Okay that does not make sense, the government said that jet fuel reached the sub basement 80 something floors below without catching on fire?? Some information that I've read indicates that Mr. Gartenberg may have had some access to the stairs, but backed off because of falling debris. :(

Since he mentioned he was trapped on the side facing the river, we know that was the side where the plane exited. Therefore, the glass would have blown out from the inside. If jet fuel had blown out the core 8 floors below the impact, enough to jam the doors, then Jim would have been burnt by the cloud of burning jet fuel bursting into their space. Jim reported the glass blown from the inside core outward and no fire on his floor.

You government loyalists claim the jet fuel blew out the lobby and the sub-basements also, even though only one elevator shaft reached between the impact and the sub-basement. You have a finite amount of fuel to render your explosions.

The fuel was ignited on impact. Most of the Jet-A fuel was burned up outside. The fuel in the left wing tank exploded and would have flowed burning into floors 94-95. Fuel in the belly tank exploded and would have flowed into floor 96. Fuel in the right wing tank exploded and would have flowed into floors 97-98.

The heavy concrete floors would have contained the fuel between the floors as the remainder burned up. Already burning jet fuel would not be exploding and causing explosive damage.

I fly an ex-RAF jet as a hobby, I know that jet fuel auto-ignites at 210C, is NOT explosive but the vapour is explosive. I know that steel loses half its strength at 650C, that the WTC fire was estimated min. 750C, that an uncontrolled fire produces variations in temp and this causes steel tubes to buckle outwards away from the fire causing the angle clip joints to give way.
