Caitlin, Here are my thoughts as a gay man. There is only one difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals; the gender of their sex partners. Why would you base a celebration, or anything else on that? It is irrelevant. Why must the gender of your sex partner be part of your identity? I just don't get it. Whether we are a different denomination or not (i'm non-denominational), all Christians pretty much share the same beliefs. You are wasting your time pitying me. I love God the way God loves us. He doesn't play favorites. Neither do I.

Not many... it was a rarity. Like having a cleft palate, it existed but you never saw it. Since then the gay lifestyle has been presented as a viable alternative to young people, and young people basically imitate what they percieve to be rebellious or cool. Hence the larger numbers of gays today.

You might be right about that to a degree, but alot of it has to do with psychological conditioning too. The vast majority of people spend very little time thinking about the messages they're recieving on a daily basis. You watch the news and depending on what channel you're watching you're recieving certain messages, a certain viewpoint. Do people spend the time to question the messages they recieve? Not really... most people go along with what they see and hear without judgement.
