Hmmm, well I liked both series simply because they were so unique. The Transformers show is iconic. It was the first and it was like nothing else on TV. It was really cool and a lot of fun. Anyway, ten years later Beast Wars broke the mold again with the CGI. The stories were more complex, yet they still made sense and there was more character development. It didn't "dumb down" it's material for kids, like a lot of cartoons do... (sigh)the quality of cartoons has gone down a lot...

Wow I am so first generation I do not remember this era? I think I found it flipping channels back in 2000 and saw a few episodes and was completly confused with what transpired with Transformers that brough Beast Wars? Time line ect. Anyone know?
the episode where some of them transform into transmetal 2 and optimus, terrorsaur, and scorpinok get destoryed is either episode aftermath or other voices (part 2).Optimus comes back with the help of the maximals in his transmetal 2 form.

this show came out when I was 2 years old. I remember my friends and I used to pretend that we were maximals, I would always be tigatron =)
