hey dude i got some damn virus in msn some one add me like auto message then i delete the contact then become on another contact and auto message this is the fucking virus i got hope u help me and thank u
Man i had a really shitty virus that would sign me out every 2 mins n sent viruses to my friends every time it signed me out. For about 2 weeks i was trying to find something to get rid of it but wouldnt work, then found this and it worked!
MSE doesn't always do the job, neither does any other virus scanner. There are new strains of MSN Virus coming out all the time, no one company can keep up.
It does in most cases, and it is continuously updated by a professional firm. And another thing is that Microsoft is behind the MSN service, they coded it themselves. Therefore it is only logical to use MSE, which is also maintained and created by Microsoft.
Definitions of Trusted and Untrusted is something personal, but since you asked MY definition of it, you'll get it. Firms with licenses, overall good rating on the web / other sources, and "what words goes around".
@OpenSourceCookieKid "It does in most cases" You'd be surprised what it misses - same goes for all products really.
"Microsoft is behind the MSN service, they coded it themselves" Sure, but what has that got to do with removing viruses? The viruses don't log on to the MSN network, nor do they infiltrate the MSN executable, in most cases they emulate copy paste functions in to the chat window. Microsoft isn't really better placed then any other AV vendor for removing them.

Good answer, however, define "licenses" - if you are talking code signing such as Verisign then anyone can get that, it's just a matter of forking our large sums of cash. No license is required to write or distribute software or even to run a business, so I'm not sure what you mean.
I downloaded and did the scanning thing and it got to the very end but said could not complete scan because i wasnt an administator or something... what do i do then?

Well, do not download from an untrusted source.
And, just use Microsoft Security Essentials.
It does the job.

@OpenSourceCookieKid How do you define a trusted/untrusted source?
