I think you're missing the point. 1. As Herman Goering said, "the victorious write history". 2. I think that any soldier is aware that in combat, there are attrocities on BOTH sides. Though, as a matter of PRACTICE or DOCTRINE, especially by the Waffen SS, it was somewhat norman to kill, mane or torture POW's. Though, to MURDER (gun down) men who are knowingly no longer willing or able to fight or defend them selves is not a part of combat or WAR.
