for me that was the classic warlord lineup and i never understood, why rick cunningham (damien king II) is so underrated - he did really a great job with the others and was and is the only true and perfect warlord singer!!!

Constrictor87, Warlord never got the play even on the radio. I grew up in San Jose and had a neighbor who went to school with Bill. But the original lineup was really the best. But they have a huge cult following still.

Also, it's a shame that they never played any live shows. Bill Tsamis (guitarist) you can tell was such a perfectionist that it prevented that. It was quite brilliant though to release a whole video soundtrack of them playing along to the studio recordings to show people what to expect when they started playing live. Unfortunately that day never happened.

This is real, epic power metal. I remember first seeing this video in 1985 on an underground show. I then located this LP & bought it. I always liked the vocals of Damien King II. What a dramatic show man!! I was happy when they released this on DVD some time back with the Deliver Us release. I bought it in a heartbeat.

@axemanyc actually Aliens was released before "And The Cannons Of Destruction Have Begun...". Its first release was in the "Lost and Lonely Days/Aliens" single.

Same year thought, but earlier. (and the cannons... had the MBR 1029 release numbering whereas the Lost&Lonely... single had the MBR 1023 release numbering)

Good riff eh? I tried using the open G and the note changes on the B string. Almost like a chicken-picken type thing. Try a hammer-off as well. Checking for tabs...

This is William J Tsamis. The song is in Gminor. The main riff is a mix of legato hammering and pulloffs. This is done on the open D string beginning the hammering at frets 7, 8 and 10, and then pulling-off on the G string at frets 7 and 8. It is all done in this manner, and then descending on the same two strings to the 5th fret position, 3rd fret position, and back up to the 5th and 7th fret positions. No tabs, but hopefully you can work it out. Good luck!

As a young guitar player warlord was a huge influence I mean after Randy Rhoads died Bill Tsamis picked up the torch for classical metal. this band never really got the respect or fame they deserved. I heard Bill got hurt in a car wreck and doesnt even play anymore. too bad.

Yeh, Warlord is great band. And talking to Bill Tsamis (guitar player of this band, author and composer of those songs) makes it hard for me to face and believe how and why this band was so underrated at those times.. Warlord was much great then a huge number of glammers hanging on MTV those years

As I know, a drummer ( Mark Zonder ) is a drummer to a band Fates Warning. Bill Tsamis ( guitarist ) is a proffesor at a college in Florida.. We do comunicate with each other.. About the rest members of the band I don't know much.. And about taramis band I haven't heard at all

actually, to the best of my knowledge, Mark Zonder left Fates Warning back in 2005. He's in a band called "Slavior" right now. Their pretty decent, but i think they need a new name, haha.
