  • Lovely video, you should do another hayley williams look! :)

The one from ignorence is really pretty!

  • WOO! I love watching your bit on GMTV :] and I love how you're English :D

  • What is with some chicks that feel the need to criticize your tut or your voice? Constructive criticism can be helpful... those posts were not.

I think your voice is fab! :)

  • I dont care how many minutes! You are awesome and I hit replay over & over...love your videos...you are always so happy & a sweetheart...great stuff! :=)

  • saucy looking video! :) did you know you can get perfect makeup from L'Oreal to test B4 you buy from Gratis Makeup Samples

  • Whoever says this isn't the actual look sported by Beyonce in Video Phone obviously a) didn't watch the entire video b) didn't give it their full attention or c) didn't watch it at all.

  • hmm.u should never put contacts in after eyemakeup. it 's more hygenic to do it before..that way u don't get makeup on the lens. Also, you shd have aimed the lens directly on the pupil, that would be so much easier and you won't get any redness.

  • looks fashion

  • ummm...WOW! that is alot of black!

  • I loove smokey but i don't know if i would do that! It's awesome thought...

  • looks wayyyyy to much

  • u r gorgeous........thanku for posting this i love all ur vids xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    A++++

  • I absolutely love your voice. The look is wonderful!

  • Nicely done! This one was looonger lol

  • Is this make-up for Halloween???

  • lol how did this take you 20 minutes?

  • Hi Lauren!

First of all, I LOVE your videos and what you are doing for the beauty industry!

Secondly, I wear contact lenses everyday (for my eyesight rather than fashion!) and when I went to the opticians originally to be taught how to put them in I was advised to put them in before applying make-up, mainly beause you can get your runny eyes out of the way before you do your make-up!

I understand why you did though: to show people how different it can look with different eye colours. xx

  • where do I get black primer from??

  • i think it would be great if you did a toritorial on orthinia's according to you when she is playing the guitar in the purple dress

  • You should not put you lenses in after your makeup, you should do it before you start. Because if you do it afterwards, you can get makeup or mascara stuck between the eye and the lens, and that will make the eye watery.. So always put in contactlenses BEFORE you do your makeup. =)

  • That's odd. If I put my contacts in before, I get makeup in my eye and it'll stick to my lens and bother me all day. And god forbid I touch my eye with mascara on accident. Haha! Usually I wait until I finish eye makeup, then I'll add an eyedrop to each eye then put in my lens. It cleanses your eye beforehand :]

  • i love beyonce x

  • wow @ imsuchabitch... and @xxxssb ..i guess the professional makeup artist that made beyonce's makeup sucks too cuz she did it better than them so you fuckin fail, AND if her voice pisses you off xxssb, FUCKING DONT WATCH THE DAMN VIDEO, SHE IS POPULAR NOT YOU, SHE IS FAMOUS NOT YOU, FUCK OFF all you fuckin HATERS, I LOVE YOU LAUREN!!! You're an inspiration to a lot of women! keep up the good work

  • U didnt need that contact lens, you already got lovely eyes x

  • Lauren, with the shadow, it looks shimmery. are you using a cream base or primer..cos i would skip that and use eye liner liquid, is that good or not?

  • For all those who wonder about contact lenses, tears, red eyes... etc etc, just put the lenses BEFORE the makeup. I would even say to put them before any facial cream or eye cream. The problem of manipulating contacts after makeup is not only the possibility of a messed up makeup but the danger of getting those products in the eyes through the fingers or tears. So first put contact lenses, wait until tears/redness stop, then apply creams and makeup.

  • this look looks good on you, although, if you dont mind me saying, i think for this particular look a slightly different eye shape works better. but this still looks fabulous!

    5/5

  • can you do a summer look?

  • were do you get those lenses

  • I use contact lenses, and serious genial that did a tutorial one of makeup with lenses that type of products to use and as to use them, because always they suffer themselves with the typical products that they are put in the eyes, then you cry and all the is damaged makeup

    from Chile a great greeting

  • horrible

  • i LUV the make up! i've used contacts for half a year and i can get them in in ander half a minute and my eyes don't get red either so the more you use them the easier it gets and more tear free.: )

  • are you from newcastle of south shield because i am from near carlisle!!

  • oh em geeh! hu punched u in the eye HONEY>>???

  • thanks for the reply, you dont often get celebritys writing back to you! (i know you mentioned you dont feel like a celebrity but you really are in our eyes ;).) yeah i tryed the one for green eyes, with general purple. i was thrilled that you said green eyes & purple shadows are a winner, because i bought fierce violets and vintage glams.. not a bad choice!

big fan, big fan. you are beautiful, and you are an inspiration in so, so many ways! x

  • have you done any looks for ppl with glasses yet? i have them and u cant get contacts :[ but i love doin stuff with my eyes but all the makeup tutorials i find for glasses are...just like neutral shades and my normal routine :[ i want some fun stuff ;D i just started watchin ur vids too and i love them :D

  • love your videos but OMG@how you put that lens in. I wear contacts daily and you're askin for a serious infection by putting them in that way. First of all WASH YOUR HANDS and put them in BEFORE you apply your makeup. You're also putting them in the wrong way. You have to get that upper lid up in order to get them in without any bubbles. Seriously, stop showing it this way because it's so wrong.

  • you have to put it after you wear your makeup or your eyelense will get full of makeup

  • You are right, i wish I hadnt. I was in the middle of a video which I never cut or edit and so I did what I had around me and explained to people that you should put them in with CLEAN hands etc.

  • I'm sorry..didn't mean to sound so harsh, I was just so worried that you would get a terribly painful eye infection that way. That's why you had so much pain I think. Love your vids and your cute pugs!!

  • it would be cool if you did a Snow White make-up tutorial :)

  • It's a tutorial! Who cares if it takes her 20 mins to TEACH you how to create a look. Im pretty sure if she was just doing it by herself and not explaining things she would be done so much faster. If 20 mins is too much than thats too bad for you but don't bitch about it.

  • THANK YOU :)

  • @panacea81 right on

  • I agree. Also, it's a free makeup lesson..people really shouldn't complain. Like if they don't like it, don't watch it. Simple as!

I thought it was awesome anyway. :)

  • I do try and keep the informative without editing. People tell me they dont want me to edit/cut my videos so they can follow along in real time.

  • @panacea81 they can also press pause though... but anyway, love the vid, nice look

  • this is really nice, but i don't understand why this takes 20 minutes, i can do this with eyeliner, then Maybe black shaddow to set it....just sayin :P

  • Hi! Love your vids. Just a TIP. I wear contacts everyday cause I'm blind but it's better to put them in before the makeup. Also the reason it burns is because your hands aren't clean/ it's not the solutions. Before applying the contacts wash your hands real well and dry them completely, then put in the CLEAN contact. I promise it won't burn.

  • Thank you :) I know, i was just putting them in quick for the video. my bad. :)

  • im wearing that look right now lol the make-up i got for it is alot cheaper because its at hot topic, pure black eye shawdow and it isn't messy

  • That's a really intense look. Fun!

  • i looove makeup! This videos fab, i mostly use Maybelline makeup i get for free from 'gratis makeup samples' they're wonderful

  • I wear contact lenses almost daily, and have done for just under 10 years - I find best when putting them in, is to actually look forward, so they are placed directly over the iris. Saves you prodding the eyeball!

Hope it works better for you in future :o)

  • you should put the contact in before wearing makeup! and DEF. wash your hands. that's probably why it stings. solution normally makes it feel better, not worse

  • sometimes if u put contacts in before makeup, it cn hurt your eyes. but i definately would wash my hands before putting them in.

  • Nice makeup i love your intro!

  • I wear soft contact lenses and the best way is to put them in first BEFORE you put on your eye makeup. That way you don't get the watery eyes ruining your lovely makeup! xxx

  • I love the look and you!

  • Ooh! This look is very like Dusty Springfield's in the 60s!! (Pee 'oles in snow, me nan used to say!) We used to use pale Pan Stick on our lips for the 'not very well' look!

    Enjoyed this, thanks!!

  • Sweety, I saw you in person, you are not chubby!

  • ur eyes were alredi brown i didnt see the point lol .. and u look gd with ur eye make up like that x

  • makeupbytiffany did this and it looks exactly LIKE HER u should check it out

  • hey, you should put your lenses first before you do your make up, or else there might be a serious infection going on soon or maybe later?... it is a whole lot easier too and yes, without make up on the eye just yet, will makes it more convenient. this is a suggestion from your lovely supporter! =D

  • I like the look, but it would probably look too harsh on me- I have light hair. Maybe I could use a light beige eyeshadow?

  • you are very good, i really like you. you seem like someone that you could easily be friends with lol. and this is so stupid, but i have those exact drawers in the backround ! xx

  • it says on the instructions to put your lens before you put on makeup...ive had lens for a while and all my eye doctors say to put the lens in before

  • this actually looks very darling when you look up and smile. its makes your eyes look so charming!! :D

  • I hate when I get makeup on my contacts :(

  • Shouldn't you put the lenses in before you do your makeup? It just seems like it would be easier. Great video :)

  • @SugaSpice52

No, because the makeup could end up on your lenses. (:

  • lovely video! :) did you know U can get great makeup from Max factor to test B4 you buy over at Gratis Make-up Samples

  • I like that your honest and real. some people on here have no personality what so ever and its like " i like watching ur videos, but ur so boring ugh", but thats not the case with u, ur always honest and real and full of personality. thanx!

  • Not a good idea to put lenses in with make up on o.o

  • Hey Lauren can you do a Keisha Blah Blah Blah look from her music video? The blue look preferably .. Thankss

  • i love this look could u do a paramore inspired look 4 thats watcha get ppplllleeezzee

  • wow u look amazing!

  • O Lauren ya face when you telling us bout Mindy cleaning her "THINGS" just made me smile! x

  • gorgeous eyes:)

  • You are bloody marvelous !!!! Is the Manly eyeshadow palette the same as the MAC palette??

  • how do u prevent acne??

  • washing ur face twice a day and using a facial mask once a week to get deep into ur pores helps. cutting back on things like soda as well. i never had bad acne, but occasionally would get a break out and i hardly drink soda now, and ive noticed a huge difference in how frequently i get a break out.

  • thank you! i'll try that now!!

  • contact lenses before you put make-up!

  • Love this look! And congrats on the huge section about you in Allure magazine! I was super excited when I saw you and your products in there, I was like "hey, I watch her on YouTube!" Congratulations!

  • cool look!! Lauren you are super cool!!

  • I really wanted to ask you to do this look, and I was soo happy to see that you've done it... as u were reading my mind,, I love it,, u look soo beautiful....

  • i LOOVE this one! =)

btw when i first got lenses I was told that I should put the make up after the lenses and clean it up after taking them off because i might get make up in my eye or damage the lenses.. furthermore if you put the lenses first you won't have to worry about messing up the make up =)

  • oh Lauren. your eyes must be stinging like mad

    pretty make up though :)

  • lol dont you put your lens first then makeup..so that it wont mess up the make up....

    thats what i do

  • sometimes the lenses move and you dont want them getting stuck in your eye. its safer to put them in after then fix your make up.

  • All that dog does is sleep xD

  • So I pick up Allure magazine to kill time at the pharmacy and im trying to figure out why this girl slooks so familiar....its my zoom zoom friend from youtube!! congrats on the magazine!!! it ws great to see u on there!!!!

  • @indiatainafrmpr and, i had no idea about your pallettes, they even featured them on the issue along with a few other "favorite items"!!!

  • hello Lauren! :)

Quick tip about the lenses, if you lift your top lid up, and look down at your nose, then apply yor lenses, it is MUCH easier! :)

    <3

  • Hey great vid

start my own page thing on nails please come check it our (K)

  • iv got that colour pallete :) lol and great look btw x

  • Absoloutly LOVE that look, I like to be adventurous with make up but black eyes on a night out always wins with me! suits you too!

  • Comment removed

  • i dont like this i think it shud be purple on ur lidz it wud luk reallly nice

  • @devskymolz It's a recreation of Beyonce's eyes in videophone. They used black.

  • can you do a naomi for skins tutorial???

  • AAAH LAUREN. I love you baby, but please, for the sake of your own eyes; LENSES IN BEFORE THE MAKE-UP. Never the other way around. I am serious. If you get an infection, it can cause serious damage. Never take putting things into your eyes lightly, they are very sensitive!

Keep up the great work! <3

  • yea actually i agree....i used to log in to youtube just to watch her vids but now im not too excited...i like her shes just getting a little dull is all.

  • omg wheres ur pug gone >

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuu...I like this one very much!

  • it might be hard to remove LOL

    great tutorial :D

  • love this look . you made it so wearable

  • Might I suggest youtubeing "How to put in contact lenses" there is a good video by ehowhealth that shows you how to properly do it.

  • i heard you on the radio the other day (radio 1) i was getting ready to go out but purposley did it slower so i could listen aha, i just wanted to say how great you are and how much ive learnt from you its great that someone 'normal' and someone who has ctually had to work for what they have has come so far, i know you hear this all the time now but i mean it i hope you and your boy have the greatest future your a lovely, gorgeous, talented person :D xxx

  • Don't say your chubby, your gorgeous. Not that chubby's bad, I think chubby people are cute. (:

  • that's not the way you should put eye lenses and you should put them before you put on the makeup.

  • pretty! =]

  • I saw you, lauren in allure magazine describing this look also, i'm a single mom also and I just started doing brides makeup. Youre my inspiration now.

  • never seen black eye primer. interesting.

  • @quentinst I swear there is some in one of her palettes. XD If not then I dunno.

  • how do you remember not to itch the corner of your eye! :D That's my problem.

  • hi! can you do a glittery Kei$ha inspired look, im interested to know what glitter products work best for her super glittery look!

  • Loved the eyes. Ooh my goodness those contacts made your eyes hurt and mine too.

  • I love ur accent!!!

  • Can you do the look Natalia Vadianova had on Jonathan Ross? It was beautiful, dewy, and natural.

  • i heard when in still in those bottles ur SUPPOSE to take them out and soak them with solution for about 8hrs than u can wear em

  • having had prescription contacts, I must inform you that if it stings, then that means the solution is not an "eye ready" solution, and you are supposed to rinse them with something else before you put them in. I had a friend who got screamed at by their optometrist for that. te he.

  • Another good way to stick contacts in put the contact on right index finger place your left hand on top of your head pull up top lid, pull bottom lid down with the middle finger on right hand look opposite of which eye you are putting contact in. IE right eye look far left and stick contact of the side of the eye in the white once stuck look right drop lids and blink, contact is in place. That way you don't see it coming and your eye doesn't try to close :)

  • i love the video and the look!!! but it really is better for your eyes and your sanity to put the contacts in BEFORE doing the makeup, also wash them with a bit of solution before putting them in, another quick tip is bring your head down so that your looking up into the mirror and place the contact flat on the white, your lids will take care of the rest :D

  • you are not chubby you are beautiful. thank you for being inspiring :)

  • It's easier to put in the contacts if you put two drops of eyedrops for contacts.

  • thanks for taking the time out to do this! much appreciated! i wish u all the success in the world!!

  • i love ehtttt!

  • Oh Lauren!

    You've got a wee intro now (:

    Love it!

  • Este es un maquillae super intenso que bonito me recuerda a mi video de lady gaga!

Si quieren ver LECCIONES DE MAQUILLAJE por favor revisen MI CANAAAAL!!

  • umm so you know your supose to put the contacts in before the make up so then you dont have to worrie about messing it up:}

  • some people can put it in without messing it up. I find it impossible though x_x

  • always put the contacts in first!

    great look! i lurves it!!

  • scaryyyyyyyy

  • Always put contacts on before applying makeup!

  • Nice look, Lauren! More contacts help (as if you probably already haven't had enough), I find that the easiest way to get them in without blinking and causing irritation is to look out the corner of your eye as far as you can when you are popping them in--kind of apply it where there will only be the whites of your eye. That will keep the automatic blinking reaction to a minimum. Then once its in secure, move your eye to "look" into the contact and it will slide into perfect place!

  • yeah put them on the whites, you wont blink with time

personally, i always look up and put them on the bottom part, on the whites and i dont think i blink a lot

and like many people said here, put your contacts in before you apply make up

plus, do make sure you buy a good brand, not some cheap ones. its always good to invest some money into good contacts because eyes and eye infections can be very tricky

  • Did you say the brow powder is one by Paula Dorf? I think I found it, 2+1 For Brows?

  • When will the black primer be avaliable lauren!? x

  • OMG it looks like someone socked her right in the face! LOL! Its way too dramatic for me...

  • amazing! :)

  • Lauren for the contacts:

Let someone who's worn them for sight purposes for about 10 years (the flexible type, that is I had the hard lenses before, too) give you a tip:

If you do not keep your eye open with the fingers, and I mean REALLY open, you are going to blink like you did and may get a lash or something like that between the lens and your eye, or microparticles of the mascara, that will HURT and scratch since the contact folds over your eye like a 2nd skin and will not allow tears to

  • remove the scratching particles like with hard contacts where there is room to wash it out with tears.

The way I do it and find it works perfect:

Place your lens on the index finger of one hand, with the index finger of the same hand pull down your eye slightly under the lower lashline, with the fingers of the other hand pull the eyelid up from the upper lashline. you should really expose part of the eyeball if you insert this type of lens as they are so big. then you can place the lens

  • very precisely, and not just anywhere on the eye did, and have it "swim" around. That's not a comfortable feeling, and believe me you will notice what a difference it makes when you apply it this securely.

It is almost impossible this way to get a lash or mascara under the lens since you are pulling your lashes so much out of the way.

Oh and this is the method the doctor will show you, not some nonsense I came up with :) takes some practice though, but really, worth trying trust me.
