I am a bricklayer in the UK, I think if I invested in this pointing gun I would go bankrupt, it's a good idea and it's a lot cleaner, but they need invent one that PIONTS a lot quicker.
this video clip is genuinely a first time user - what you're seeing is his first few metres with the tool - so it is not representative of the speed a regular user gets - but sometimes you need to show both ends of the story!
I'll get some video clips of regular users because the overwhelming response to this device is very positive
I've owned a Quikpoint Pointer for about 6 years now. I am very happy with this tool. I can go about 5 times faster with my Quikpoint than I could with a grout bag. The key to this tool is working with your mix when you first get the tool to find a good mix that works for you and then you can fly. Your mix does not have to be wet! Any standard mix will work with this gun but you don't want to have a dry mix or super thick mix. In my opinion, this tool is well worth it.
I agree with greddy, it looks like a very slow process. We do a lot of repointing work in the Dallas Texas area. Our typical job has a large amount of joint work and we can work 10 times as fast with a grout bag.
Im a stonemason / briclayer i can point twice the speed of that by hand and alot neater i noticed the demonstration didnt show a finished product

understood
this first-time user was doing a test of both the brick raking and pointing gear
they are general builders and it was work they would not normally do
clearly they saw enough benefit in both systems to buy and use the tools
in due course I'll try and create a more complete view of the complete raking and repointing process
