  • This is wrong

  • How long is ur hand wrap???

  • Is it okay to hit a body bag with only hand wraps on?

  • @IronLungs16 it will hurt your knucles after a while

  • @IronLungs16 you can but not too hard , iv been playing kickboxing for a while and if i want to warm up i punch the bag with wrapps only . its completely fine aslong as u dnt hit it too hard

  • why do boxers and mma fighters wears wrist wrap?what was the purpose of that?someone pls?

  • @GsxRaider so you dont break your wrists or cut your knuckles

  • good tip, I didn't know how to wrap my hands until now, thanks

  • Every Video I've seen on how to wrap they've all been different! So I don't think there's a right or a wrong way to do all this! I say that but when I wrap it always looks so untidy lol!

  • It doesn't feel as good as the wrap that doesn't go between the fingers. . . at least not with the 108" tape. . . plus its a total waste of tape on the palm and lack of the proper x shape on the front of the hand and way to much wrist action.

  • @Virtuesse09 yeah, that had to be 180 tape to wrap the wrist like 8 times..

  • Doesn't feel as good as the wrap that doesn't go between the fingers. . . at least not with the 108" tape.

  • I LEARNED HOW TO DO A CORRECT HANDWRAP WITH THIS VIDEO

  • @SupauaElanorua632 Get out of here you spam bot! >:O

  • Does the cement go inside the wraps or outside?

  • now how do we attach glass to it?

  • Pause at 1:36

  • @Svittidiu lol

  • @Svittidiu bah!

  • Help me alot thanks just bought a full set and i cant wait to get started =)

  • hey man great tips im a new learner .

    need to buy raps now

  • u are nothing sorry

  • 1:37 haha the faces.BTW great lessons.

  • How long is the handwrap? Looks like longer than mine which is 180"

  • How offline this subttitle covering their video?

  • best size is 180 mexican style handwraps, yes wear hand wraps at all times when hitting a bag or focus pads to protect your hands, and this is a real wierd way of wraping your hands, although theres never a wrong way.. just different

  • OK! I'm new to this kind of workout. Do you still need to wrap your hands if you're hitting the heavy bag?

  • @02chevyguy You should always wrap your hands. So yes.

  • What you should do is wrap it around your knuckles 3 times fold it put It on your knuckles nd go from there

  • What size wrap r u using

  • 108

  • Anybody know what length that wrap is? Is it 108 or 180?

  • @cugamer looks like 180.

  • VEGITA!!!!

  • perfect thanx!

  • this motherfucker has no idea what he's talking about, Im old-school and this modern shit just aint gonna cut it!

  • @1FuckedUpIndividual could you post a vid of how you would do it it so others could see how youd do it?

  • My handwaps are much shorter :-(

  • @161tommy161 They are probably the cheap ones that are from everlast. You can get a real good pair from a gym or something.

  • @161tommy161 get 180s.

  • i use 180 everlast (red) i find they have a lil more flex than others. 200 make ur grapple gloves to tight after u put them on

  • yes, there are alot of ways to wrap your hands

  • I bought hand wrap at a sports fitness store. It is too wide to be able to go between my fingers. It's by everlast though.

  • what size wraps do you have

  • longer the better

    i have 200inch classics

  • @MsqProductions That's what she said

  • do people have different methods of wraping handwraps

  • @badboysalkai

    everybody has different methods.

  • в конце у него много остается ,а вначале он мало наматывает на ладошку(моё мнение)

  • @1989Mali engllish muther fucker... do you speak it??

j/k dude, that's just a comedic line from pulp fiction, no russian hate, i love russians as a matter of fact, :P

  • shut up faggot.

j/k dude, it's just a line i like to say alot.

  • @imannnninjayo1 : I do not think he is faggot. He's straight and has a standard penis.

  • @FanUltimate LOL

  • this one really is the best way to wrap. it offers perfect mobility. THANKS ALOT ALOT!

  • great vid, thnx for the help man!

  • Thanks for this video this has been very helpful since i always wrapped it wrong and no i can do it right thanks to you!!!!!!!!!

  • NOT TOO LIGHT NOT TOO HEAVY BUD LIGHT

  • perfect timeing

  • ay were can you get that wrap. i been using medical wrap for the last couple of years

  • any boxing/ sports shop, intenet

  • thanx alot man

  • @Nariekxyz Hatton boxing or Blitz, amazing :)

  • Why does he leave a spot at the lower back of his hand? That spot is far more fragile than your wrist..

  • unless your some idiots jackie chan wannabe and think you can karate chop or you punch like some little chav that spot doesn't matter as much as the wrist and is far less likely to be damaged by punching.

  • Well, when I'm wrapping my hand I'm focusing very much on that spot. Ive been hitting heavy bags occasionally for years, but for some reason my wrists got weak lately and I keep hurting that spot if I dont properly wrap AND tape it. Its like it has some sort of nasty leverage on my wrist upon impact.

  • @apestaartje321

Sorry, you're right. On first inspection of the video i thought that that spot was much higher up the hand and nearer to his little finger. my bad... :)

  • Hopefully you see my point, I mean as far as I'm concerned he might as well not wrap his hand at all..

    Anyway, cheers.

  • @apestaartje321

Yeah, I guess that's just down to personal preference and the level you play at... his level may not require that as they may not punchas hard; whereas your level might require perfect wrapping or suffer a broken hand/ fingers/ wrist.

  • cheers for the man

  • Yeah.

  • Thats a huge wrap... i guess its a mexican hand wrap. no?

  • heh feeling lonely anyone up for cam chat? ^^

  • his ears makes him look like a lepricon..

  • Thank you for the video, find it very useful.

  • this wrap works great and feels comfirtable for both kickboxing and boxing

  • i like the "Tim and Eric" look at the very end.

  • I've never seen it done the same way twice.

  • Thanks for the vid, i just realized ive been doing mine wrong for the past year.

  • Hand wrapping is my biggest nightmare, i always ask someone.

  • si te vendas como dice este pendejo te vaz a corta en medio de los dedos son vendasmuy gruesas

  • lol whats up with his ears

  • its called cauliflower ears. If you knew anything about fighting you would know that when someone gets hit in the ears enough times the indentations start flattening out.

his ears are how you know hes a legit fighter.

  • ''If you knew anything about fighting you would know ''

i'm guessing you don't know about fighting either dumbass lol the reason their ears turn like that is because of skin(of the oponent) and the flooring on the ring keeps rubbing on them and makes the blood in the ear clog in the same spot.

  • ya great observation except I didn't bother including the wrestling part because the guy is A BOXER.

  • either wayy, that's how they get them

  • actually, its from from broken cartilage leaking fluid under the skin, the fluid will then calcify leaving the ear looking all jacked up like that

  • im pretty sure it stays as fluid cause once they get to a certain point, you either have them drained or run the risk of them bursting.

  • or he just been getting his ass whipped for so long

  • Lol. If you think his ears are bad, look at the guy's ears on Wikipedia. Just type in "cauliflower ears".

  • its caused from infection

  • Nope. You're wrong.

  • @aaronracine Actually I think its caused when repeated impacts to the ear seperates the skin from the cartilage.....Which in turn fills with fluid....If the fluid is not drained in a timley manner it will solidify and become hard......then ya got urself some cauliflower ear :)

  • hand wraps are cool for the speed bag, but extended use on a heavy bag ur knuckles are going to get jacked up.

  • for some people your too late saying that XD i already got to many scars on my knuckles from just using wraps for heavy bag

  • Yeah..That was a long ass handwrap..What brand is that? I've been using advanced Everlast wraps and they help a little but I need to get a formal opinion on whether I'm getting the right protection or not.

  • do i wrap my hands the same in muay thai :)?

  • no there is a specific way to wrap your hands for muay thai. im not to familiar with it so look it up on here or something

  • So many get this wrong, protecting the wrist is very important for continuing in this sport.

  • Damn I used bad boxing gloves without any handwrap for 6 months :d I couldn't train too often but atleast my knuckles are friggen granite.

  • How long are the wraps in this video?

  • only problem is when they explain it to fast

    STEPS MOFO!!!

lol good vid tho =) just slow it down >.> Im sitting at my computer with hand wraps getting fucking tired of fucking pausing the fucking video

    5/5 stars

    Im not crazy

  • yepp same problem man i got 1 in my hand 2 and keep pausing the damm vid, cos his going 2 fast. lool

  • @shadowcar88 haha, i have the same problem Xd

  • @RembertowDawid hehehe... :D

  • @shadowcar88 haha same :D

  • @VrM1104

lol my comment was a year ago, its like coming from the FUTURE!!! I'm better at my hand wraps now though! :D!!!!! lol

  • @shadowcar88 :D are u still boxing? you must be a killer now xD

  • @VrM1104

Yup, I'm doing Muay Thai though...I'm also on the wrestling team. I'm still pretty nooby though but HELL YEAH ITS AWESOME!!!

  • @shadowcar88 LMAO

  • Comment removed

  • fuck his fingers look like a packet of twisties

  • por que? tanto rollo por el vendaje esta gente lo hace ver muy complicado, si es lo mas sencillo del mundo...si ellos mismos se lo pónen mal ...

  • to be honest their is a tonne of ways to wrap but this one is pretty standard and nothign wrong with it.. if it protects your wrist and you can punch with it then its all good!

  • is it ok to punch the punching bag with only the gauze or the handwrap? wont it hurt our hand bones and stuff?

  • you can hit the bag with only wraps on but its better to use wraps and bag gloves together to reduce the chance of injury

  • It looks like there are a lot of different wrapping methods being shown here. I noticed this one did not show wrapping both sides of the thumb and the fingers were wrapped in order instead of skipping the middle and going back? Since I only have a karate background, I am trying to learn which method is best and why.

  • I have found this to be very helpful.

  • i do it totally different but i do ametauer boxing is it different ?

  • yeah there is different types of boxing

    muay thai boxing

    kickboxing

    boxing (just fists only)

and i dont no anymore :P

  • kick boxing:

muay thai is the common one which is knees and elbows

    western: no knees or elbows

Lethwei: can strike and hit anywhere with anything ( watch your nuts)

    Adithada: muay thai with foreheads.

i do muay thai ( best contact sport ever invented) !! :D

  • i do muay thai boxing

nakerd up my shins tho lol

do not spray anti persprant deodrant on ur shins for 20sec+

it kills and leaves a brown mark

and it peels the skin off bad man :S

  • I would'nt use that much on the wrist. Take two layers from the wrist and put it to cover your nuckles instead. And when i wrap my wrists i but the wrap closer to my hand than i the video. That way you will literally wrap you wrist giving it more support. If you're a beginner, then wrap you're thump. If not then that will be unneserary..

  • rip gatti

  • slow down..

had to replay so many times

and pause it so many times

  • sorry but you'd do this as one layer of two wraps for wrapping hands for a professional.

an amateur wrap is not like that

check out "Gleasons Boxing Gym London - Amateur Handwraps" video here on youtube for the definative guide

  • wow nice helped me alot i used to get sore hands cuz the wrap was too tight.

  • i want to start boxing but i dont really want to get a broken nose :P how likely will i get one from just sparring?

  • you wont get a broken nose from sparring if your beginer you wear all sorts of gear and you always have to keep your gaurd up and they will also teach you some moves so you wont get hurt. and you can sparr if you feel ready to fight. i hope that helped goodluck :)

  • all depends who's there and if they go nuts

i box and you can never tell whos going to turn up and lay one on you so.....

    keep your hands up

    xD

  • cool i did it without the knuckles

  • Great videos. Very nice and clear instructions. However for every level, because there are unfortunately tattooed losers now in the boxing, boxers should use this as targets. Boxers are starting to use this. Hit hard on the repulsive and defeated-looking graffitti of your opponent and aim and hit.

  • no this dosint work i cut my nnuckes im soory buy you dont now wat your saying

  • yeah i like this wrap the best i use 180 and its just perfect for my hand. also those who are complaining about knuckle pain, try the 'muy thai' style wrap that gives extra padding to the knuckles and is my 2nd favorite wrap style.

  • hmmm very good :)

  • iv just turnd 30 im pretty fit n do alot of working out thinkin of starting boxing as a hobby do u think im too old to start?

  • no, you are definitely not too old to start!

  • sorted stuff,,cheers mate.. )

  • if anyone uses a shorter wrap, like a 120 or something, this video is a good one for that. it's easier to adapt to less wrap. and still get the protection and support you need.

  • Absolutely not. As a hobby its perfect. Good exercise.

  • thanx mate,,,how about sparing?

  • You should start with the wrist first then the back of the hand

  • best video

  • i have a underglove for polse support, no tape needed and works realy wel it is from mcdavid.

  • ye but handwraps are a little better and they also look better

  • Im a beginner boxer and this is the most easiest way i have found and it feels extremely comfortable thankks its great !!:D

  • i'm just starting with a boxing and i have a question i copyied the video perfectly and i can feel a pain in my hand is that normal ? i think its because of blood cant get in to my hand

  • dont make the handwrap too tight on your hand

  • i've never used handwraps lol

  • I punched wrong and hurt my wrist, must have taken 6-8 months for it to fully heal :/

  • nice ears

  • SDSD

  • Are the wraps his using mexican style ????

  • I've been boxing for 2yrs and this is the best way to do your handwraps.. thanks alot!

  • One of the first things on 'expert' village that didn't suck.

  • I think cuz there's 2 types of wraps... the normal cotton ones & I think the Mexican ones are the cotton ones w/ an elastic material to make the wrap more flexible & better fitting??

  • i mustve punched wrong or something but my wrist hurts, should i continue working on it or relax a bit

  • if you punched wrong and your wrist hurts, try punching it lightly, if it hurts then dont continue and relax for a bit.

  • How long where those wraps?

  • 180'' Mexican Style Hand Wraps.

  • Thanks Leo Cardenas! I must say it really helped me out! Good handwrap lessons :)

  • thanx man needed that

  • thanks... but I kinda cut my knuckle from my left hand while hitting the bag I guess because I didnt handwrap my hand right.

should I put cotton now? or should I rest my hand for a few days??

  • if its cut yeah, wait till the cut is healed before you exert any more force onto it, otherwise youre going to keep bruising it more and more

  • thanks man. i had a feeling i was doing something wrong. lol.
