not necessarily. i think brighten is kind of a side project from a rocket to the moon, seeing as how justin is currently on tour with arttm. a bunch of people have side projects, such as how mark hoppus now has angels & airwaves as well but blink-182 is like his main thing. also, another example is joe kirkland from artist vs poet, who has his solo side project, the follow through. and supposedly the lead singer of linkin park has one, too.
