I am from the same town as Janet Stover and her family lives right down the road from me. We broke some colts for her dad including Brownie the bay/brown horse she uses in her videos. She came to my house after winning the world to watch me run barrels on a mare I had just started and wanted to buy her. I have a video of me and her on here running barrels her name is ROLLCALL IN HEAVEN. Janet is so sweet and awesome.

I was recently down in Texas interning at Martha Josey's Ranch. Ended up meeting up with Janet and bought a mare from her. She is extremely friendly and would do anything to help anyone she can.

Janet Stover never owned hotshot Peyton owned and rode him and offered for janet to ride him the nfr (her horse was hurt) and the steinhof's bought hotshot from peyton not janet

correct me if Im wrong, but Hotshot was trained by Ed Wright and bought by Peyton...not sure but that is what Im thinkin.

Either way Janet got everything out of him the year she won the world on him. Thanks for posting that video, it was fun to watch again!

yeam hotshot was ridin by peyton for a long time. but she sold him, hotshot has been passed around through the barrel racing industry alot for some reason. me and my mom were talkin about that yesterday.lol

Actually Hotshot was trained and owned by Peyton Raney, who was NFR 1997 Rookie of the Year on Hotshot. Peyton offered Janet Hotshot for the finals because Janet's horse was hurt. Peyton sold Hotshot to the Steinhoffs and it was announced during the 10th round of the NFR barrel race. Just a note so credit is given to where credit is due. Angie

It probably is. The announcers say it is the 01 NFR, which is the one she rode Hotshot in right before she sold him.
