It's all very well people wanting Crossbones to be made in to a nice place where people can go and think about the lives of the people who are buried there. However what really annoys me is crazy people like the woman at 3.53 who visualizes a roundabout, slide and seesaw for old the people with plants growing up the wall! I mean what kind of demented world does she see us living in?
@69Ferg No offence, but I think you're being a little ignorant regarding the re-use of space throughout history...I think if you knew your stuff or bothered to do some cursory research you'd realise that quite a few graveyards have been redeveloped as public spaces, you've probably even sat in one and eaten your lunch. If you think that's a "demented world" well, each to their own. It's simply a fact that land is reclaimed because it's limited in cities.
@greeneggsandzam em yes, thanks for the little lesson but you can probably get off your high horse now as my comment was only meant as a joke. Old people on seesaws?
At a dig this summer in Ireland we found a well that not only had animal bone refuse, but also neonatal babies. We considered it a plausible dump for unbaptized children, or children born out of wedlock. The well was on abbey property, so it's as close as the little ones would get to a proper burial. Interesting stuff.
Are they Cockneys? In London? Cockneys? Never? Tony and Ken won't be too happy about that. How dare Cockneys reside in London. It's a diabolical liberty, my old china!

Putting a park in a graveyard is way better than a dump-site into a playground imho.
