  • God bless you two! <3

  • thank you for posting your video i hope I'm brave enough to post a video someday! and let hear it for us Kansas guys !!!!

  • Thank you guys so much for sharing parts of your life! I'm from Germany and just heard about the "It gets better"-Campaign in the States. It is so great to see all those supportive messages from individuals and also major corporations. People finally need to realize that it really is a Human Rights Issue. I used to live in the US for a year and I just love to see how all those great people like yourselves are constantly fighting the good fight! Best wishes from the heart of Europe!

  • Congrats on your engagement! btw what breed is Diesel??

  • @tayylovessyuu Thanks very much. Diesel is a Rottweiler mix... or just a really small Rottweiler; we got them both at a shelter so we don't know for sure. They're both sweet boys.

  • @RUEditor OH MY FUCKING GOD !!!!!!!! YOU HAVE MY PILLOW !! THATS SO CRAZY!!! I HAVE -NEVER- SEEN ANYONE IN THE WORLD HAVE THE EXACT PILLOW THAT I DO. I got it from San Francisco !!! Omgosh

  • Thanks for your video, it's really inspiring and encouraging. And I'm sorry, I know this is kind of unrelated to your video and its message, but I have to ask: was that Shane Battier in your (Rob's) family picture?

  • @bringtherain444 Thanks for your support; and yes, that's Shane. He married my sister in 2003. He's an awesome and supportive brother-in-law.

  • I'm not :( not even bi but I am starting to support the Trevor project but I'm straite

  • I was wrong. Im gay thats just how it is. But my hopes of acceptance and understanding from people and in the gay community did not happen. Gay guys want sex, they dont care who you are or to get to know you or anything. Use you and throw you away to the point Im celibate. Tierd of trying to meet someone and getting my hopes up thinking someone may actually accept me and want to know me. Id say dont define your self by one part. Tell who you want and keep the rest to yourself.

  • Great video but it doesnt get better for everyone. I came out when I was 19 ,Im forty now and pretty much wish id just kept it to myself. I was happier and had more friends before. In my exsperience meeting other gay people their rude ,crass, hatefull backstabbing people. Ive not been able to rely on many Ive met and have no friends now that I had when I came out. I wanted to be true to myself and the people in my life that id meet along the way, thinking my life would be easier, open and real.

  • @Razorokc Sorry bout that man. I'm 15, bi/gayer by the second, but still in the closet. I hate to give advice, cuz a lot of times it's easier to say than to do, but just keep you r head up, eh. And if there's anyone that openly confronts you about bein gay, don't even say nothin to em. I know that's easier said than done, cuz hell even i have a short fuse, but do your best. And most of all: keep God on your side. I don't wanna preach to you, but remember, he loves ALL of his people, us too.

  • tim working so hard to get his own money before he told his family that he was gay.i think i should do the same thing, wait until i get my own financial i will tell them the truth.if they can't accept me at least i still hv a back up plan. :)

  • Thanks for being ROLE MODELS and Praise The Lord that your families love you. :) HUGz

  • congratulation, Rob & Tim, Merry Xmas & Happy new year.

  • Great video, guys! Thanks for sharing your story! :-)

  • I am both bi and christian. I do not what interpretation people seem to have when it comes to certain passages in the Bible. But, really, come on, read it again! Because whatever it is you think it says... It does not condone hate!

  • You guys are twins! This is not right. How sweet.

  • all the best guys ! u look amazing together

  • Your love for each other is so obvious. Its beautiful. Thanks for a glimpse into what is possible for me.

  • Cute! I came out to my whole family about 2 months ago! These "it gets better" YouTube videos helped me ALOT Thanks -Tyler

  • awww that dog is so cute...

  • OMG you guys are adorable, but me and my baby are cuter :P you can't outmatch us >:D

  • I love you guys. You're amazing and thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and your story. You've taught me a lot with it. You're very inspiring and your confidence and happiness now, that's a very positive thing to see for me. People like you make the world a better place, I genuinely believe. I believe in god yes, but I'm not that religious. Hopefully you'll be happy forever. And everybody should be accepted for exactly how they are. I'm for the Legalization of Gay Marriage everywhere.

  • Is it me or are these two guys almost identical twins? Hee hee.....I hope they live happily ever after.

  • @rlm1942 Corinthian's original quote meant pederast, men coming on children. Leviticus meant to respect the gender of who you sleep with (not take a man to replace a women aka prison sex), and Sodom was a story about rape. Jesus said to not use the word "raka", which is an ancient term for "faggot" or gay, and he helped the boyfriend of a Centurion. David + Jonathan had a gay love story. Voilà: Bible doesn't

condemn gay love, only interpretation does.

  • @rlm1942 Your interpretation of the bible is about as good as your English. #fail.

  • @RUEditor I think people just wanna find any way to segregate a type of group they don't like, and of course, they use the ultimate proof to fight us with. But with all respect to God, things aren't the same now as in biblical times. You'd be punished if you worked on a sunday, but now plenty of people do that, so should workin on a sunday be illegal? Is it immoral? Course not. God loves all of us. All of the people trying to put us down: just the devil tryin to put us down.

  • @rlm1942 God said it was wrong at a time where your daily job was to repopulate the Earth. But time changes and the world revolves, and God's word evolves with the time. In other words, something written by people, (who were not God, by the way, just incase you didn't know...) 1,000s of years ago is not the same as it is today.

  • @rlm1942 Matthew 19: 11-12

  • beautiful couple!! :D

  • I can relate to Tim a lot. I always thought it would just go away and I was so upset when I started bringing myself to the realization of it but when I came out it was the greatest weight lifted from my shoulders and I am 100x happier now.

  • u guys make such an awesome couple...

  • the best part for me was after 6:00 the ending photo was awesome...update us on the wedding

  • Amazing video Rob and Tim! Thanks a lot for sharing your life experiences.

    Greetings from Brasil.

    Felipe Cerioli

  • Dear Rob and Timothy Looking at the [lovely] dogs - the animal behaviourist Temple Grandin proposes that wolves live in families, not packs, and that dogs are looking not for an alpha, but a parent. Except in emergencies, I let that loving gentle parental attitude inform every word I speak to my dogs. :)

  • Omg they're so cute :3

  • Hated myself, too for being gay. Catholic upbringing made me fear my futures. Got married, had three daughters. Got divorced. Accepted myself. Afraid of loosing all of my family and friends...I never had a problem! What was I so afraid of???? Who cares what others think of you! You have more people who love you and don't care that you love the opposite sex! All people want for you is to be loved and share love!

  • @imjere - So sorry to hear that a family (unfortunately and presumably your own) uses such hateful and bigoted language. My family definitely called things "SO GAY," but I have confidence the words were used in complete ignorance. Tim was forced to wait until he had worked long enough to be financially independent from his family before he told them he was gay. This way if they lashed out, he could just say peace-out. I fear that this may be the best recourse for someone in your position.

  • @RUEditor Thank you for being sincere :) I'll be okay, I know I will. I'm independent already & have been since I was a child because my Mother was a single parent & needed the help.

People are afraid of the idea of their family disowning them, and I don't think being disowned is what's holding me back. It's the fact that I'm not prepared for the questions they'll ask that I don't have the answers for. My family are very, very nosy & are intimidating when they're on your bad side.

  • @RUEditor I don't want to be looked down upon, & I know they'll do it. I'm 100% confident that they'll react in a very negative way & will not only gossip about it, but they'll mock me. There won't be any positive support & I don't see why I should even torture myself by telling them.

    Whatever though.

Family are good to have in small doses. I don't need them.

  • Umm, yeah, so what's your advice on telling a family that says quite often, "Faggot", "Fag", or "That's SO GAY"?

Curious, because I don't know how in the hell I could come out to people so ignorant like that without beating their teeth out with their own hand bag.

  • @imjere I know how you feel. I have the same problem with my family. It's so hard to say something when they are constantly using those words.

  • @mich541919 Well, here's the thing. Everytime I think I'm ready to drop the Rainbow Nuke someone always says something like "fag" around me. That's completely discouraging.

I thought my Mom would've gotten the hint that I'm gay when I have been colour-dying her hair since 7th Grade, styling & straightening it for her and even doing her eyebrows because she doesn't have a clue what to do.

I don't know if it's worth coming out for Mich :P

    Screw em I guess.

  • Loved the video guys and the advice but you should have told us how you both met etc.----You look really perfect for each other.

  • It breaks my heart that people want to kill themselves because they are gay, in the old days gay meant happy and I still think it means happy . I love gay people and I love gay men. they get the end of it, most people say well its ok for two women to be together but not men, I think that if more people of the same sex had sex there would be at least a lot more Bi people. LOL

  • Very good thanks.

  • Absolutely beautiful, inspiring and touching video. I have been following the It Gets Better videos for a while now and only just came across yours. It is my one year Anniversary with my Fiance today and it was just lovely to see such a loving gay couple also engaged to be married. I hope you two live a long and happy life with each other raising your puppy family. Will be doing the same with my Husband to be. All my love to both of you xx
