Man I hated Lord Genome when in season 1 cause he was killing people, then in season 2 I liked him cause he was actually trying to save humans even though he did it in a wrong way. THEN, I hated him because I saw that he killed his team after working with them to defeat the anti-spirals in order to save humanity. Lord Genome, you are a tough guy to judge

ya know? i kinda feel sorry for the poor old man. he stood upp agaainst the anti spirals. he lead earth to create a new civilizacion. he went on to lead the frontier of the fight to outer space. and then? he he is shown what the end is. SPIRAL NEMISIS. so he does what? he brings out lazengan and kills his own comrades. he takes teppelin and takes control of the chouginga and wipes out his own fleet. he returns to earth and creates the beastmen. all just to protect the universe. pity the old man.

Also Gainax would have to come up with something bigger than the universe, in order to let simon combine with it and top the hugeness of STTLG.... ^^

yeah, after the antispiral got in his head he started killing his own people to lower the level of the human population. That way, the antispirals would never return and the machines hidden in the earth wouldnt attack them when the population got too big.

@animeking The actual implication is that the Anti-Spiral showed him what would happen if he led the humans on that path- The Spiral Nemesis. So he did all of that to prevent the supposed destruction of the universe.
