This is interesting. Would this be legal? Just because the website belongs to the owner does that make it legal to spy on customer behavior to that extent. As a comparison I think surveillance cameras used in stores are only permitted to catch shoplifters and not analyse customer behavior. In any case customers are legally obliged to know their online use of the site is being recorded to that extent.
