Those are impressive machines but I wish Caterpillar would resurrect its 666B scraper which could easily outwork the 657E's shown here. It's sad that Caterpillar discontinued production of the 666B in 1979 but I believe that many examples still exist in running condition. Perhaps some 666B scrapers will be restored to like-new condition and displayed in museums or even used again in mines, quarries, construction projects, and the oil sands.
