Ninja is better in the scence of speed and city bike, but overrall this one is better for longer trips, its very stable and easy to ride, and it gives a great position to the rider, great bike if you like enjoying the rode without demon speeding.

Also during the 60s' & throughout the '70s', there were alot of motorcycles in the 250cc to 450cc range. Sometime in the 1980s' the Big 4 of Japan decided not to import motorcycles of less than 500cc (except for dirt bikes) to the U.S. Many would be motorcyclists would have purchased these affordable sporty motorcycles that weren't intimidating had they remained available. Kawi will have to upgrade the NInja 250 a lot. I used to have a Ninja 250 and the carbs were a pain to maintain. This CBR250 is dope. C-ABS is perfect for noobs. Good job Honda!

I just got a new one today in black and i have to say that the bike is awesome!! but that Honda commercial do the bike no justice.

so i make a suggestion for everyone to go and see the real bike and judge it for yourself.

Note: for that price don't expect to get a Honda CBR 600RR.

the sound of the old one is wicked!! this is just balls... every bike that is about to come out will be a major failure than it's previous. The companies don't care that much anymore for the mechanical part as for the rest.. dissapointed, and even more in the future i guess :/

i have been riding a hyosung gt250r for a year, i love it so much but it break down easy. i will like to ride either the new ninja 250 or cbr250rr but it t bad cause they both have very hight handle bar and the bike look like women bike n don't look like a sportbike. if the bike look like hysoung gt250r it will be nice n i will buy one right a way. i hope in the future there will be one that like the yamaha 125 in japan. @JKK250 Say thank you to the Dems. & the E.P.A.. They wrote a laws that clamped down on the amount of decibels new factory production motorcycles O.E.M. mufflers can make. Unfortunately, the bizarre shapes & humongous exhaust cans on factory new motorcycles are a result of R&D to be in compliance. Not complying = Not coming to these shores. If I were to purchase this CBR250R I would look into what Yoshimura slip on would fit.

If they reallly had to do a new 250 series couldnt they hve at least used the CBR125 image? Much prefer the look of the 125 (abit too small tho) to this design, oh well its about time there was some competition in the 250 market for Kawasaki anyway.

The new regulations regarding emissions along with the license structuring for learner riders is what drives the manufacturers to make such silly small capacity bikes these days. In the late 80s and 90s all of the big 4 Jap companies had race inspired 4cylinder 250cc bikes. Kawasakis ZX2R (the real Ninja 250) came with 50mm usd forks too. They certainly dont make them like they used to.

My advice... avoid these new singles or twins. get urself a proper 4cyl 250 if your laws allow.

This is so debatable.. Kawasaki Ninja 250R vs Honda CBR250R. Either way, Kawasaki and Honda have a good reputation. I've had ridden the CBR250RR and it was a fantastic bike, never missed a beat. 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250R was dam good as well although if they add better wheels would have been 100%. Although i have to say... the 2011 Ninja looks so much sexier than the CBR. Sorry Honda fan-boys.

It's not a CBR. The CBR is a sports bike this is a VTR with fairings. Why they wouldn't use the old 4 cylinder engine idk it was a great engine, this one is crap and not fit for a sports bike. Your not passing any porches on this unless they are parked.
