You don't like how it's in America or you don't like how it's in Japan ? Because seems to me that in America you have more freedom to choose what phone you want.
I'm in Britain and I'm on O2 at the moment. Your right about most of the western world being able to choose a phone then a provider. But it's more expensive because it means the provider needs to be able to afford to have contracts that will recognise the phone that you use.
@Stormstriker1 Thanks for your comment! I heard it is like that there. Even if it gets more expensive, you still have choices.
In Japan, still we can't choose cell phones then a provider later. But, except for provider original models, there are many similar ones that the providers have because the same makers make cell phones after the provider's requests.
@RobAndTot Haha I see. It's funny that here is said same; the carrier that provides iPhone's is Softbank here, I personally like it, but people say it's couverage of the service area is not as good as the top share carrier here.
Maybe Apple likes to give service of iPhone's in countries with their worst condition. lol
Good video. However, American cell phone companies also contract you to specific phones. The difference is that the same phones often are available on multiple carriers. If you want to buy a phone that will work on any carrier you have to purchase an "unlocked" model. These are MUCH more expensive than contract phones.
@ActiveAero Thank you. Ah, I supposed so. That's what I heard. We don't usually have SIM free ones no matter how expensive they could be. It is, I think, a different problem. But thanks for telling! I appreciate information from some native person :)
I agree with Kero, Japanese cell phones have some pretty cool features like the emogi (I'm stuck with having to do the basic :) type of thing) but I can't tell, I think your flip cell phone might be bigger than mine, but that could be of your screen size . I still think your cell phone is better than mine when it comes to watching actual tv, that was awesome!
They also have emoji that even move. Here, ( I guess there too) girls tend to use emoji much than others.
I think mine can be bigger than another. Mine's screen size is 3 inch, I suppose. Yeah, being able to watch live TV on the own cell phone is cool! I don't use it much though~.
Hey, Kero chan~ ;) Emoji is what I believe, want to believe that what Japanese cell phones are the best at. Sadly, I think you can't use a Japanese cell phone in your country. You can use only Japanese SIM card.
actually you can if you use a hyper sim to unlock it but you don't get ALL of the cool features like watching tv because you need the Japanese network for that. I have an sh905i myself but don't use it much because it's so gimped using it here in the US.
the bottom right of the first page look kinda perverted

AT&T

@RobAndTot Oh yeah. It's that. Thanks. I hear a lot of people don't like it iPhones with the carrier.

@JPjul7Kh yeah, i personally don't have AT&T but i know that it's a bad service
AT&T constantly drops calls and the calls themselves are bad in the sense of the quality

Can you use that phone in other countries?
charynmae 1 year ago
No. You must contract with a Japanese career called Softbank to use this one. You can use this abroad, but it's under this career's contract.
