i need some advice. My suns are very slippery. It doesnt matter what string i use they are always slippery. i use 255g suns with metal washers. is there anything i can do? like change the axles or something?

@diaboloatte It really is down to string and technique. Try rubbing some dry soap on the string when you first put it on. The axles have nothing to do with it really, they are slippery when new but not so much that ive ever had trouble with. Carbon axles i find impossible tho lol

@mrawsomediabolo1 Get the diabolos spinning faster, good technique and practise. Its not really hard, just takes a tiny bit of getting used to. If your really struggling with it then your probably not good enough with 2D to move onto 3D yet.

@AznnDestroyer Practiced lots, you need a solid start, you have to be able to get them into shuffle everytime, it needs to be very consistant, you have to focus on lifting with your left hand, i learnt to ignore my right hand in the beginning as you kind of move it naturally anyway. 3D is all about the left hand

What is a good string for 3 diabolos?

@thomasnilsen62 Henrys string is the Most bought diabolo string but it needs to be slightly longer than usual to fit all 3 diabolo's on with the wrap start. Henrys yellow (In Most Diaboloists opinion) is known to last about the same as all other strings but will wear in 10x quicker

Erm i dont really know how id explain it. Just experiment with the positioning. As you wrap with your left hand guide the other diabolos down into the hover position.

feed the sun was my first trick, i could only hold the shuffle for about 80 catches at the time, so no i couldnt really correct.

Yes that very good, in juggling terms a solid 3 diabolo shuffle would be 30 catches i believe. Maybe you should focus on some tricks and accelerations for now, maybe when your more comfortable with 3 you'll learnt to correct

I keep it fairly short, long string makes 3D harder to run i find. I have it from floor to around my chest/ lower ribs

Any fixed axle diabolo will do, i suggest either finesse, tiabolos, circus or suns. Bearings make learning 3 near impossible

29th march one isnt that the 3d workshop at BJC?

I'm finally pulling my finger out and working on 3 full time till i get it. It's just so fustraiting to get the first 2 up to speed then it instantly collapse as you put the 3rd in. How long in terms of hours is in the above progress mate? Spent the last two nights 2am-5am pretty solid and got nowhere at all.

Id say i spent about 600 hours on 3D before it clicked. Overpractising isnt a good thing tho. Some people get 3 alot faster from just practicing half an hour a day.

All in the left hand. Lift with your left, dont even try to use your right hand when you learn, i learnt to shuffle to start with just using my left, your right hand will move naturally, dont try to useit.

I've been working on 3 low for a really long time now, with a pretty high intensity over the summer but not as intense before that. I've got a solid start and have had some freak runs of like 15+ otts, but most of the time I'm lucky to get 4 or 5. Now that school is back I'm trying to do it at least 30 minutes every day... hopefully I'll get it soon. On my short runs it has the right shape and everything, so I think I'm pretty close.

I use sundia sun for everything. But it doesnt make a difference, if your a good diaboloist you can do the same tricks on finesse, circus, sundia, tiabolo and bearing.

Dont change your start till you have solid 20 ott. If your making progress with your shuffle then dont change your start now!! it will fuck everything up and you'll have to start all over again. I learnt hover way before i could shuffle.

These dates are true. Youve been doing it about a week, you wont proggress for at least 6 months minimum, i got it fast, most people take between a year and 2 years. I wouldnt spend 2 hours a day, its just a waste of practice time for how little you will proggress at this stage. Just try to do 30 mins a day on 3D
