JERZY HOFFMAN, called "UKRAINE-THE BIRTH OF THE NATION."

And this plane was built in Ukraine by Ukrainian people and it is still owned and operated by Ukraine. And even tho USSR was still established at the time, I do not think it contributed any considerable amount of funds/goods/support for this project.

Antonov was established in Siberia only 7 years before moving to Ukraine. Since 1952 it has been 59 years that Antonov Design Bureau been in Ukraine.

2)имена разработчиков самолёта, естественно умалчивались. известно лишь о руководителе проэкта - Толмачев Виктор Ильич, однако про его национальность я нигде не могу найти.

Витоге - самолет придуман, построен а также безоговорочно эксплуатируется в Украине, что даёт нам право считать его украинским.

P.S. второй экземпляр строится, готово около 70%

@Monack1982 It is not financially viable at the moment. An-225 is a showcase and is only used for special projects where other planes cannot be used due to spec limitations.

I am sure they could build a newer one but even if they find the funds to develop and build it, they would have hard time finding buyers as the competitors are long established and have good market connections for both, sourcing parts and selling their planes.
