um, i'm no expert but i certainly listen to a lot of tipico and juanito gutierrez is good. His playing is dead on, just like most of his family, starting w. the legendary jose gutierrez. THis is defintely NOT messy, it's COMPLETO, a full sound, a lot of notes. I think you'd be hard pressed to find another musician to play "la balacera" like that (aside from prodigio, rafaelito, etc)
