Also, everyone has this stereotypical view of Japan. Why? They think that everyone watches anime, but it is intended for children. Yes, they get that blood and gore with the mix of sexual preferences. Also, Konami's games are just as popular there as they are here. If you looked at it, Roxor and these other places have basically tried to steal DDR's uniqueness. Guess what? That's why now DDR and Konami legally owns ITG.

God forbid a company actually wanted to give us a game with better mods, better music, and a better interface. Which is why ITG is still alot better than DDR. Then again, I have yet to play Super Nova.
The only reason ITG seems to be better than DDR is because the game is made for good and pro DDR players from the fact the songs can be 3 minutes long and can go up to 13 footers.
Besides that, I still like DDR on the fact of the large amounts of machines in my area, the good songs and challenging stepcharts, and I just seem to have found DDR first and learned a lot about it. ^^

I'm not saying most gamers are like that. Ehh actually i am heh. Most of them spend their days playing games non stop. Some lock themselfs in their house to play games. There's many cases of hardcore game addiction known and some even died because of it. Now at least try to agree that gaming is a serious unhealthy thing to do. Not talking about the person who plays a game every now and then. But if you play this ridicously fast like the kid in the video u have to be hardcore.
I myself am a lot like that, I spend at least 5 hours a day just gaming...the rest of my day watching things online or on tv. I personally am a DDR fan, and I think Beatmania, DDR, Drummania, and Guitar Freaks practically kill GH, Rockband, and ITG because they basically tried to bootleg the originals and..........WTF IS WITH GUITAR HERO? HIT A KEY AND YOU GET A PERFECT? How is that not hard?
guitar hero is a LOT better then guitar freaks. for one GF guitars are way heavier. Two, three buttons isnt much.. so its much too easy.. three guitar hero actually goes along with the notes, EVERY notes, unlike GF which just goes with the basic beat. But I'm not really sure what ITG is.. so I can't say shit about it.
You obviously have never played a difficult song on Guitar Freaks, or a good song for that matter. What did you play? GF US? haha. Did you know that the GH controller can't even physically respond fast enough for the harder GF songs? Furthermore, our standards of quality are obviously different: There is no grading on Guitar Hero, which makes it a million times easier. Music game songs should never be anywhere as long as the GH songs are.
AND, who wants to play the same riff in a boring pop-rock song over and over and over? If that's what you like, that's fine.
Yes GF guitars are heavy - so? Isn't a real guitar? It says something about the craftmanship of the product - I could break a GH controller with my hands.
GH is for people who like American rock and the novelty of playing guitar. They don't care about timing or anything important to difficult musical games. Considering I 4-Starred TTFAF Expert after 3 weeks of play.
uhh.. hmm.. no grading? well maybe there isnt abcd shit but there is the stars which grade your performance, and the percentage of notes hit. I think those count as grades.. and secondly no, I didn't play GF US all the music I played was that japanese shit that they must call rock. theres no rhythm to any of the songs,which is stupid, I don't think you can call that stuff music..
But I guess your right about the guitar weight but it is very wide, as in from the player to the screen which isn't realistic..but they are still worse then GH guitars in the way of buttons, sure a real guitar doesn't have buttons, we all get that by now.. but 5 buttons makes it a lot harder then 3 buttons..and obviously the guitars CAN respond fast enough for the harder songs considering you 4 starred TTFAF in 3 weeks..
Grading, like PERFECT, GREAT, GOOD, BAD, POOR. Stuff like that, that tells you how close you are to the notes. Well, J-Rock is substantially different from American rock for sure. If it's the song selection you don't like, that's fine - it's not for everyone. I don't like repetitive American rock. But, that doesn't mean GH is a higher quality game in my opinion.
Also, the GH controllers can't respond fast enough to the hardest GF songs, there are songs MUCH MUCH harder than TTFAF in GF.
the only reason GF is harder is that the lines are soo damn small and they come down so fast.. and 5 golden stars=perfect,5 normal stars=great, 4=good, 3=bad, and poor would be if you failed the song.
well thats easy. im in japan right now seeing this guys life its really wicked! these arcade machines are for the japanese marked only! so come to japan and play it i tryed it... really hard but 100 yen around 60 euro cents isnt much so try it ;P
I guess everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but seriously, GH is nothing compared to IIDX in terms of difficulty. The biggest difference is probably the fact that IIDX requires very precise timing to actually score at all (not money score). Also, no star power where you only need to hit 50% of the notes to survive. If you play IIDX on "Hard mode", you basically lose if you miss a couple of notes in succession, and it sometimes takes hundreds of notes to get the gauge back up to full.
how can guitar hero possibly even compare to the music games Konami made famous? GuitarFreaks by Konami was released in 1998 or 1999, I think. That, with DrumMania (which Rock Band shamelessly copied), and BeatMania and BeatMania IIDX can't compare to any of the copies. Sure, many people like GH because people can relate to the songs, but Konami started it all.

There's many cases of hardcore game addiction known and some even died because of it. Now at least try to agree that gaming is a serious unhealthy thing to do. Not talking about the person who plays a game every now and then. But if you play this ridicously fast like the kid in the video u have to be hardcore.

I myself am a lot like that, I spend at least 5 hours a day just gaming...the rest of my day watching things online or on tv. The only time I even leave my house is either school or going to my friends house (just to play more games) I would have to agree it takes some serious tolls on me, but just like anything unhealthy its addicting, and hard to pull one's self away from it.

I personally am a DDR fan, and I think Beatmania, DDR, Drummania, and Guitar Freaks practically kill GH, Rockband, and ITG because they basically tried to bootleg the originals and..........WTF IS WITH GUITAR HERO? HIT A KEY AND YOU GET A PERFECT? How is that not hard?

guitar hero is a LOT better then guitar freaks. for one GF guitars are way heavier. Two, three buttons isnt much.. so its much too easy.. three guitar hero actually goes along with the notes, EVERY notes, unlike GF which just goes with the basic beat. But I'm not really sure what ITG is.. so I can't say shit about it.

You obviously have never played a difficult song on Guitar Freaks, or a good song for that matter. What did you play? GF US? haha. Did you know that the GH controller can't even physically respond fast enough for the harder GF songs? Furthermore, our standards of quality are obviously different: There is no grading on Guitar Hero, which makes it a million times easier. Music game songs should never be anywhere as long as the GH songs are.

GH is for people who like American rock and the novelty of playing guitar. They don't care about timing or anything important to difficult musical games. Considering I 4-Starred TTFAF Expert after 3 weeks of play.

uhh.. hmm.. no grading? well maybe there isnt abcd shit but there is the stars which grade your performance, and the percentage of notes hit. I think those count as grades.. and secondly no, I didn't play GF US all the music I played was that japanese shit that they must call rock. theres no rhythm to any of the songs,which is stupid, I don't think you can call that stuff music..

But I guess your right about the guitar weight but it is very wide, as in from the player to the screen which isn't realistic..but they are still worse then GH guitars in the way of buttons, sure a real guitar doesn't have buttons, we all get that by now.. but 5 buttons makes it a lot harder then 3 buttons..and obviously the guitars CAN respond fast enough for the harder songs considering you 4 starred TTFAF in 3 weeks..

Grading, like PERFECT, GREAT, GOOD, BAD, POOR. Stuff like that, that tells you how close you are to the notes. Well, J-Rock is substantially different from American rock for sure. If it's the song selection you don't like, that's fine - it's not for everyone. I don't like repetitive American rock. But, that doesn't mean GH is a higher quality game in my opinion.
Also, the GH controllers can't respond fast enough to the hardest GF songs, there are songs MUCH MUCH harder than TTFAF in GF.

the only reason GF is harder is that the lines are soo damn small and they come down so fast.. and 5 golden stars=perfect,5 normal stars=great, 4=good, 3=bad, and poor would be if you failed the song.

I guess everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but seriously, GH is nothing compared to IIDX in terms of difficulty. The biggest difference is probably the fact that IIDX requires very precise timing to actually score at all (not money score). Also, no star power where you only need to hit 50% of the notes to survive. If you play IIDX on "Hard mode", you basically lose if you miss a couple of notes in succession, and it sometimes takes hundreds of notes to get the gauge back up to full.

how can guitar hero possibly even compare to the music games Konami made famous? GuitarFreaks by Konami was released in 1998 or 1999, I think. That, with DrumMania (which Rock Band shamelessly copied), and BeatMania and BeatMania IIDX can't compare to any of the copies. Sure, many people like GH because people can relate to the songs, but Konami started it all.
