35R at 8psi? Hate to sound like a dick, but why not use a turbo you can actually hit the efficiency range with? 35R's hardly even hit 60% efficiency at 8psi. Just seems silly to me to have that much potential available (35R's dont really come to life until ~24psi) and not ever using it.
Just curious, which hot side are you using? Seems like you could use a bigger A/R on a smaller turbo, such as a 30R and pump up the boost a little bit. It'd make the turbo and engine happier.
@RossLH so your telling me that you personaly would go smaller?well some ppl including me prefer to stay out of boost at normal driving, less stress on engine with stock internals and high compression, like in my case,if your fully built thats another different story...
Absolutely. Staying out of boost with a 3076R with the .82 hot side (exact same hot side as the one on this 35R means very similar spool properties) on a VQ35 will not be hard at all. At full throttle, you'll come on to boost sooner and hold it right up to redline. No danger of crossing the surge line, no problems with part throttle boost, and you can actually push the turbo to its efficiency range. I dont see the downside here.
You can do 8 PSI safely on a STOCK VQ35 daily driver???

@RossLH i think you got mixed up,this g35 was using one not 2, 35r turbos,so one is actualy smal for v6 3.5 engine..

@durin23 It's not a matter of the size of the engine in this case. Look at a 35R compressor map and you'll see what I mean.

What does turn key kit mean
yourmomcallmehuy 1 year ago
Yourmom he said it was the stock block! It's in the description lol
The kit runs around 7kish for the G35s and 350z. Not bad since it comes in full turn key trim!

is it built motor

could you pm me on the amount of green i'd need for a decent G35 and a GT42R?

i would guess anywhere from 30-45k
