AOE III is really good, but it isn't balanced and is ridiculously complicated for the level of strategy it takes to play.

Hey is the TAD expansion or no? I was just wondering what the Janissary stats would be (HP and Ranged Attack) after full upgrades from French Team and Portugese Team for health and attack for Gunpowder Units, and Janissary Combat, all of which I'm pretty sure changed to 15% added for TAD. In the original, it glitches and u can't go past 528 HP and 47 Ranged attack (only adds like 3% for card upgrades instead of 10%), same with Abus Guns. Please find out for me by doing post-imperial etc. thanks!

ON all the vids ive seen of AOEIII, no one organises units into armies. Does No one know how??

Select the units you want and press Ctrl, and a number from 1 to 9.

Then to select that group quickly simply press the banner in the corner... or press the corresponding number.

eg. Highlight 10 musketters and 5 hussars

press Ctrl and 1

then to select those musks/hussars in future, press 1

you can have up to 9 armies

Play Skirmish and try playing with the Ottomas. Every Country have specialities. My favourite are the Russians(Heavy War Country), The Dutch(Banks with free Coins) and the French(Coureur des Bois(High gathering villagers).

Eh, what level are you playing on? Easy or normal? Try playing 2 hard players or an expert CPU. Don't glorify yourself by beating easy CPUs.

man Ottomans have the strongest army and also the auto settlers generation helps a lot! Great bombard, albus gun, cheap jannisary, auto settlers, unique naval galley- if u play the best and use ottomans, then the game is urs!

Actually, I think that they are good in long games and suck at the beginning. Because of the price you have to pay for a jannisary or abus gun. But with the great bombard and a couple of martyrs:P in front they really are a tough competitor
