When I first played this game I sucked at it. Late when I got to the elite four My team was in the late 60's plus a level 80 butterfree(don't know how that happened).Lets just say the elite four didn't last long :D

Out of all the gym leaders of Kanto, I always had the hardest time on Misty cause I wouldn't use any Pokemon except Charmander or Geodude...granted I was five and did whatever I wanted. And listening to this remix makes me think of all those struggled battles.

I loved this theme at first when I played the games on my Gameboy. Now, I love it even more. Thanks OCRemix, now I have even more appreciation for older games. The new games have orchestral or symphonial songs that are wonderful, yes, but nothing is like the old 8-16 bit bleep bloops.

@Ultrasoulstealer Brock is a real pain in the ass in Yellow version, which was my first Pokémon game. I ended up overleveling Pikachu and using Quick Attack. (Now I know there's better options, eg. Butterfree + Confusion.)

Of course in Red and Blue he's a joke with either Bulbasaur or Squirtle's 4x type advantage, and even with Charmander's type disadvantage, you still won't do too badly, as Brock's Pokemon have garbage Special.

@mikenike071107110711 I spent the time to whittle the accuracy, speed and attack of onix and geodude down to nothing with my (afterward, fainted) pidgey(s), rattata(s) and metapod. Then finished them with scratch. Took about 20 minutes, but a bunch of lvl 7-12's took down a lvl 14 and 13 rock-type!

First one that he sent out was put down in two consecutive hits (how often does that happen with a pokemon that won't listen to you? XD) but the last one nearly killed me because he decided to be independent and order pizza while he got his shell handed to him fresh out of the oven, or rock tomb, whichever you prefer. XD
