Wait a minute! Turkey is the country calling for the armanian and turkish historians to come together and talk about relocation of the armenians. The relocation is similar to the one that AMERICANS relocated indians in "Treaty of New Echota". The treaty established terms under which the entire Cherokee Nation was to move west to the Indian Territory. It was WWI for the armenian case, a matter of national security. It was the collapse of an empire!

Good point! But there was one major difference between the Indians & Armenians: the Ottomans intended for the Armenians to be TEMPORARILY relocated, until the war danger was past. So a better parallel is what the U.S. did with their Japanese during WWII. (But 2 major differences with that one was that the Japanese were imprisoned; Armenians were distributed to villages, with freedom of movement. Also, the Japanese were not disloyal.) Even before 1918, Armenians were returning to their homes.

Before you get on a righteous soapbox, get facts straight. The Ottoman-Armenian population was 1.5 m acc'd to most Western sources of the time, eg Encyc Britannica. 1 m survived. That means a third of your inflated figure died, mostly from famine/disease. Some 1600 criminals who committed crimes against Armenians were tried by the Ottoman govt during the war, executing 60. To prove genocide, you must show intent. Even the Brits found no evidence in Malta Tribunal, 1919-21.
