A mountain of compassion was moved to help Ratchet have the chance of a long and happy life with the soldier that saved him, I'm so proud of everyone involved in this effort, the thousands of people who signed the petition and donated and the volunteers at Baghdad pups, you all ROCK!! This is when humanity is at its best, team effort BRAVO!!!! :)
I am so happy now we have 62 so far more to go..these animals help our soldiers they need the emotional support that they give to them and unconditionally love. We can't stop now ...more work to do to help get more home with there owners.
What a wonderful ending to a story fraught with ups and downs.
In the end there is no doubt it will all have been worth it to Gwen with she comes home around New Years Eve to join her family and the newest four legged furry member!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful story....GOD bless RATCHET and all the wonderful peoplethat helped in rescueing this beautiful dog ......tony(savegreyhounds)
To save even one is certainly one of the best things man can do. Save one at a time. If we all did that, there would be no lost souls. Excellent video. Thankyou.
I know some people will scoff at all the effort to save "one" dog... but to those I want to remind the words of the song: The Change from Garth Brooks. "Its not the world that I am changing... I do this so, this world will know that it will not change me..." Sometimes, saving one dog is a very powerful message! Bravo to everyone who cared enough to make this possible! And Ratchet: Welcome home! Thank you musicloveraustria2 for sharing with me!
I feel blessed watching this video. God bless all those who adopt animals.

Disgusting. There are dogs here that need to be adopted and should be given free to our veterans.
Shame on her for breaking the rules.
I guess the military had to get some good dog news after that marine dead puppy prank last year.

@IMMax77 Your an idiot. The military didn't pay for any of this. The SPCA pays for it by donations.
