Serato all the way dude the Newmark time code package sucks more cock than a queer i know this coz i perchised it and a month later ended up buying the rane ttm57sl & everything works totaly fine with my PC were as i had lots of problems with the Newmark Package and also Virtual Vinal dosent always read your beats correctly either but as for video dj'ing i carnt help you with that part realy as i dont dj visuals & havent realy tried it out but i do think its a must
id go with the rane ttm57 with turntables and video plug in. the mixer works wonders and contrls audio and video really well. the ns7 is fairly new and this only mens there will be glitches that come along with it, if you really want the ns7 i would wait atleast a good year or more to wait till numark fixes the unit entirely as well as a bit of a price drop. the total control will break down after a few months, i ran thru 3 and they all broke. rane ttm57 wit turntables and vid plugin is sweet
I will strongly recommend Serato with turntables and a Rane TTM 57 mixer and or the Denon HC 1000 Controller. I use both the TTM 57 and the HC 1000 just so I do not have to switch the groups back and forth on the mixer. Could not be happier. This give you the best and most flexible video control. Yea it's a few more bucks but it will blow your mind and you will have endless creative possibilities. Good luck.
I own an ns7, im extremely happy with it. Ive had experience with everything youve mentioned. Total control is iffy, serato is expensive, and then theres time code vinyl and needles that need replacing after time. Just my opinion but the ns7 is the best investment had in my dj career, as far as beat matching and scratching. If you have any questions about the ns7 feel free to shoot me a message
honestly, i would probably go with some turntables and serato with the video plugin. I demo'd the NS7 and although it looks cool and is built well, its still fairly new and I wouldn't trust it when doing a club or party. I see other people that have vids saying how their NS7 malfunctioned or stopped working. The last thing you need during a gig is for your equipment to fail. I'd wait til Numark gets all the kinks worked out before taking it seriously. You can't lose with tt's and serato.
