This is the most emotional piece of music I have heard since To Zanarkand, and to me that means something. I'm fairly sure you could use this music in place of it for the scene in the Summoner's Sanctum, and it would have the same effect.
「消えない想い」, the title of this song, can be translated to both "Ever-Present Feeling" and "Trapped Thoughts". The latter is less literal and more interpretive but by no means incorrect.
Got a copy of the OST CD from some place or another, and this one is called "Trapped Thoughts". The other titles are the same. Wondering where everyone's getting "Ever-present Feeling" from. If it's in the in-game BGM extras thing, it might be an alternate translation, since MirrorMOON and whoever translated the names for the OST CD likely read it differently. Japanese can't really be "perfectly" translated to English, so both titles are likely correct in their own way. Cheers.
Okay. Just pointing something out here. In the version of the game that i have, This song is called Ever-present Feeling. Just saying, i may be wrong about that though.
Thought it was called "Ever-present feeling", and this song alwayys remind me of when you have to kill Saber in Heaven's Feel route, the sentence Shirou says made me cry so much "With my own hands, I killed someone who protected me until the very end. Neither a confession nor regrets will bring forgiveness" god, this VN is the best ever hands down no words can express how beautiful it is and will ever be ...
Honestly both the movie and anime sucked.. They just didn't live up to the storyline and didn't convey the feelings (The scene where shirou is totally broken fighting archer and understands how fucked up things really are for him for example but still stays true and heads on knowing what shit will come..) well enough.. -.-
Honestly this game was the saddest game I have played.. The moment berserk died, archer fought against Shirou and Saber died in the fate part were.. geez... unforgettable ..

@blazearmoru if you think it's easy to turn a 12 hours visual novel into a 2 hours movie with all the conversations and events, you're more intelligent than Bill Gates... This movie is mainly for fans who already know the story and if someone wants to know the discussions, he just have to read the visual novel, it's great.
12 hours? you kidding me? F/SN can last for a long time, especially for those who are slow at reading, or like to read things over so they understand, I think UBW lasts longer than 12 hours
@Milestis yes, it was a disappointment. It was a very rough summary of all the events without the reasoning nor the good stuff, for example shirou and lancer's co-op chat thing. D:<
whenever I close my eyes, I can see Saber running across a field of grass.. it begins snowing.. it rains, flowers bloom, the grass begins weathering away.. snow.. rain.. the process repeated. but Sabers determined expression as impressive and MAJESTIC as it will remain unchanged and suddenly I feel COMPLETELY crestfallen
A visual novel is basically a novel but on your desktop. But in this case there is sound, and music that fits almost every scene, and also pictures to depict the scene, but in this vn, there are some... Mild scenes (H-scenes).
@Aleonris also, there's multiple storylines that get unlocked as you play through the game. personally, I love unlimited blade works the best. Emiya is badass.
A wonderful, heartwarming song, though it reminds me much more of Shirou's final moment of sheer rage in the fight against Kotomine, Heaven's Feel route.
"Get lost...! Sakura can't be happy if you exist!"
The mood switches in F/SN are remarkable, definitely... bring your emotions to the forefront with heart-wrenching moments like Shirou's remembrance of Sakura, then have the man turn into a badass avatar of destruction.
Most memorable scene for me with this music background is Shirou thinking back as he struggled within to kill Saber. Coming to a close second would be Sakura condemning herself for killing so many people, all the bad things she did, saying how she has to die and Shirou hugging her in the rain as she thought to herself how she "broke" Shirou.
@GmlnOrio94 If you want to cry at Saber's past, the rest of the game will literally blow you away. Her past, her storyline, everything about her is nothing compared to Shirou's, Illya's, Rin's, Kiritsugi's, and Sakura's. NOTHING! If you even liked the anime, look for the original. You'll LOVE it.
Oh, back then I had broken my laptop so had only gotten to play through most of the fate route. As for the anime, I stopped after the 6th or so episode as it paled in comparison to the game. I've finished the entire game by now, absolutely loved it, I agree with how the other plots are amazing, but I personally like Saber's story a lot as well. Or it may just be that
-
*SPOILER ALERT*
it's the only route with a happy ending including Ilya, perhaps my favorite character. And NO I'm not lolicon...
There's no such thing as a happy end for Ilya, sad to say.
Because she's a homunculus, she will die a couple months after the end of the Grail War. Because they were made to serve as the "Grail", their life will not exceed the time of the Grail War by much.
hmm out of all the anime ive ever watched this is the only one that kinda messed with me. the ending i watched yesterday in english was twice as emotional than the jap ver. one of the few anime to not end with a happily ever after... im no otaku but its one of the most emotional anime you can watch. i feel better now.
The story wasnt about conflict it was about resolution. That finally she was able to accept her fate. As her sin werent worth less and was finally albe to die in peace. A meaning that can't be described by any words only known by a few people that understand it. For death with no regrets is the most peaceful death that one can have, a feeling that finally a sense of peace has arived after a long wars and blood shed.
Following through with her beliefs to the end, what Saber did was neither a mistake nor a sin. It was precisely because she realized this once more at the very end that she was able to die in peace.
On impulse? She stabed her on rightful defense (Rin was beating her with zelretch's sword)
The song is used many times. when Shirou and Rin talk in the cementery, near the end during the final fight with Kirei (when he's thinking about Sakura) and so on...
@escopeteroce And when Saber gets killed in Heaven's Feel. Easily one of the saddest events in the story. Well, Heavens Feel had a lot of sad moments.
@I38 Yeah, and personally I didn't find Saber's death to be the saddest, when the shadow corrupted her she was already beyond any help and shirou was only able to grant her peace.
The final moments of Illya, when Sakura realizes that she has broken shirou or the normal ending were sadder to me
@escopeteroce Yeah for sure. Ilyas death in HF was much sadder then Sabers. Saber wasn't even important in HF route, but Ilya we got to see and learn so much about her in HF. I found her final moments to be the saddest in the VN without a doubt.
Hey now... I know the game is much better but I thought the anime was pretty good. Maybe their effort to involve Sakura didn't work that well but for the most part it stayed true to the Fate route. I thought it was worth it just for the Saber fight scenes.
@Aleonris the movie was like a summery of the VN. There are not only countless plotholes, but rather it's so summarized that anyone without the prior knowledge will be completely clueless.
@jeezy395 A miracle? Hardly. I don't have a way to download the game, and even if I did, I generally enjoy anime far more than visual novels. It's a matter of preference of format, not whether I'm a fan of it or not.

@jeezy395 Just because something is bad "compared to something else" doesn't make it bad in general. I loved the Fate/Stay Night anime because the characters were incredibly likable, the story and morals were perfectly intertwined, the great fight scenes, and the unbelievable soundtrack. I don't play visual novels because I don't find the concept very appealing, and I'm not going to change my mind on that just because someone tells me to.
@ShadowACS That is up to you, but IMO to hate on something before trying it is pretty stupid. Don't understand what you mean by the concept being not appealing.
@jeezy395 I'm not "hating on" anything. I'm just saying I like the anime and the fact that I haven't played the visual novel has nothing to do with that.
@Flameshadow1010 the anime had nothing.. one or two flashbacks jeez! the VN made me cry when I heard Sabers true wish.. the flashbacks were pretty sad.. to see somuch perseverence and dedication beyond our wildest dreams.. and then when you hear this persons wish from the grail.. you are completely overcome by dismay at their will....
