Jesus is the same as The golden calf. Isaiah 66:22 Says he who killeth an ox is the same as he who slays a man. They say jesus was slain for the sins of man kind, right? Well Isaiah 7:22
says Yah spoke not about sacrifice but obeying. so jesus did not take away sacrifice, he replaced it. Sacrifice is an abomination.
If I believed God existed, I would consider his glory more important than human happiness. He would surely have no reason to be evil, unreasonable, or in any way prejudiced--in fact, he would be so good, he would value human happiness and NOT be selfish or arbitrary. So when I hear stories of a God whose morals seem remarkably similar to those of ancient prejudiced people, I tend to doubt that is a God who really exists.
It also seems rather ironic that Christians who are against humanism so often ascribe the highest authority to a book written by humans--and humans who were far less enlightened than those of today.
@AspiringPotato It seems like you're subscribing to a stereotype. Try listening to someone a little 'quieter' with an open heart and maybe you'll think differently before writing something like this? Or maybe it was satire, what you meant.
Humanism is probably a response to your rediculous notions that the end of all being is the misery of man. Man can never do good, man needs to be tortured forever in the worst way imaginable to receive neverending suffering, but that's not enough, so man should genetically defective and starving on the earth until he wakes up not to an end of his suffering but to greater levels of misery in a torture chamber. Your version of humanism is equally rediculous as Star Trek and just as much FANTASY
The Sacrifices of Yah are a broken heart and a contrite spirit.

The happiness of man is the good of human beings. So, any religion that places a goal outside of this is evil.
Human happiness is sacred. Eudaimonia.

Maybe it's not a great stereotype for Christians worldwide, but it is practically definitive for evangelicals.

I so wish the music, which I love, were not so loud! It simply does not belong and is a distraction!

Humanism takes out the important moral teachings of religions, and ignores the bullshit fairytale part. What's wrong with that?
