  • This is interesting as think about all the nutrition taken out of foods today yet all the preservatives so the foods last longer on the shelves. With the fast paced world of today and skipping breakfast or when depressed grabbing chocolate (I am talking about myself here) looking back I can see a correlation with my moods... makes me think ..

  • Can you say placebo?

  • Ya, that's easy. I don't know a lot of people who can't.

The interesting thing though is that I know people who have been well on this product for over a decade now. I would say that's a little long for placebo effect, wouldn't you?

  • I was using "can you say" as a figure of speech, not literally.

And yes placebo's will work as long as you believe they do. Placebos are especially notorious for "working" well is depression patients.

I have nothing against people who use "natural remedies," I do however have a problem with people that tell people to stop taking their prescriptions and to start taking natural remedies.

  • @imanerd36 - I'm sorry... but, you are an idiot. You have a problem with people telling someone to stop take something they don't need it? Possibly they can make them worse. Medications are only needed when natural options have been exhausted. I gaurantee if you look for a natural option you will find one for most medical problems not requring surgery. Saying things like we need medication is exactly what pharma and insurance companies want us to believe. Stop the brainwashing.

  • @TheVTRainMan First, name calling does not make you right. A doctor(who went through about a total of about 11-12 years of training to be a psychiatrist) decided they needed the medication.

The supplement they described is just that- a supplement. And read the packaging on supplements they are "not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease."

The medications being described have to go through very long rigorous trials to prove they are safe and they work, supplements don't.

  • @imanerd36 You are right. Name calling wasn't necessary and I opologize for saying that. I would go back and change it if I could. I realize doctors spend a lot of time in school... but, the fact of the matter is... they don't learn enough about fixing and preventing the problems in-order to treat the patient. They simply prescribe as many medications they can to mask the symptoms. The pharmaceutical industry makes to much money and everyone gets a piece of the pie. The system is corrupt

  • @imanerd36 "The medications being described have to go through very long rigorous trials to prove they are safe and they work, supplements don't"

You don't know how they test those drugs - it's not like testing an anti-biotic - try looking under google books for "America Fooled" chapter 7 tricks of the trade, trick #5 "Add a sedative to the drug trial". But definitely check out all the "tricks of the trade" they use to get the drugs approved. The studies are rigged -

  • The issue here is that profit is what drives natural medicine and it is what drives modern medicine .

Frankly the same supplement could still be sold with a healthy profit margin ..But alas the bottom line is not your recovery it is how much they can earn

  • What about the long term effects of medications?! The side effects were worse for me than the bipolar. Truehope's EMPower Plus worked for me and saved my life!

  • i am on Vilift and it's really working great with me, i feel better now, i am feeling good.

  • This finding is completely backed up by Dr. Russell Blaylock's DVD lecture free on google video called Nutrition and Behavior. Conventional medical doctors have no training in making people healthy so it is obvious why they are fighting to keep this and other natural remedies discredited or off the market entirely. Daily allowance levels of vitamins are set to avoid disease but are no where near the levej to achieve optimal health.

  • please, explain.

  • Totally true

  • Bipolarity = Utterly Shameful FRAUD

  • sounds like the old psychiatrist is worried about losing some business... makes sense

  • Your assumptions are WRONG..this works. It gave me my life back for a large part..don't mock what you haven't tried and don't understand..for it to work for me it had to be real.

  • does it work for anxiety?

  • This does work I've taken them for 6 years.

  • I've taken Empower for my bipolar for the last almost 3 years, when prescription meds failed me and caused so many side affects it became impossible to continue. Skeptical doctors, I was skeptical, but at the end of my rope with nothing else to try... I did. After almost 3 years, it has been worth it for me. Perhaps it doesn't work for everyone.. But it did here.

  • Yeah, this is good stuff. Helped me immensely.

  • thank u for posting this...i hope people watch it and are helped by it...i learned of Truehope for a bipolar person i knew years ago and have since told many...it helps many that i know...and it helps more than just bipolar...peace
