Kessing: Agreed about Karl...he and Eric are writing a song cycle about the California Gold Rush...hope to be out in late 2011 or 2012...meanwhile Eric & Last Train Home recording Soul Parking (with Karl's help) last year and put it on an CD entitled Six Songs...if interested, you can hear that version at red beet records website.
Loving this version and very nice pedal steel work indeed. Knew the version from Graverobbers Soul Parking and excited to hear new verses. Karl really is a master songwriter!
I remember getting goose bucks in the mid 60's sitting in a studion as Lloyd's guest. Now almost half a century later, I find myself doing it again. The man's technique, style or what ever you want to call it, is exactly what I need to hear in pedal steel guitar. His selection of chords and phrasings and other structures are always what I wosh I could have sounded like. Truly a legend in his own time !!
