Um, no. Dorian had a fight w/ her boyfriend and accidentially overdosed a patient. The board fired her and dorian blamed Viki Burke (or Riley?) She then sought revenge and became Victor's nurse, then his wife. Victor left Dorian a HUGE chunk of the Lord fortune, and HALF of Lord, inc. Viki thought Dorian killed Victor, but it was actually Viki.
I absolutely LOVE Erika Slezak and Robin Strasser's scenes together!!Even though they are arch enemies on screen, you can tell that they admire each other's talents, and are great friends off screen.
Erika Slezak is such a talented actress, she is defenitly the best actress on the ABC soaps, yes even better the Lucci, even though Susan Lucci is wonderful as well.
The scenes were also directed by Jill Mitwell (who also handled the episodes in which Marty was gangraped). The use of hand-held cameras in some of the scenes also added to the realism and intimacy of the storyline. Mitwell's been nominated for a directing Emmy 7 times (for OLTL and ATWT) but never won.
Agree about Jill Mitwell, she is by far the finest director on OLTL, always has been. And Erika Slezak is the finest actress in all of television, period!
I remember these scenes as if they were yesterday. They stretched over two episodes if I remember correctly. The second episode was noteworthy because there was no music in the first 30 minutes - just the thunder effect. The intensity of all the actors, Erika Slezak especially, was something I never saw on daytime before or since.
Yes -Dorian is Viki's step mother but she is actually a year younger than Viki and was married to Victor after viki was herself married to Joe Reilly- I am pretty sure I remember this episode correctly Dorian says that Victor talked in his sleep- As misguilded as Dorian can be at times she is still a true heroine she would not stand by and watch a child get sexually assaulted
victor lord did talk in his after dorian questioned him about the details of his sleep talking he confessed to having sex with his own daughter his darling victoria
OMG this was amazing! I remember Jean scared the living bejeebers out of me. She was just chilling. Tommy was o.k. I really haven't seen a whole lot of Niki but I heard she's awesome. Thanks for posting!!
Wow! Thanks so much for posting this episode. I remember this storyline and episodes very well, I was lucky enough to do my work from home during the time of this storyline and I always stop when OLTL was about to start. Erika and Robin really did an outstanding job in there performances. I also remember how Erika gave me chills because I didn't know if she was Viki or one of the personalities when she came over.
I remember this one. This was one of the best storylines in soap history. This is where we all found out WHY Viki had multiple personalities in the first place.
