@JmdMagic You'd need a partner to transfer items from one existing character to another existing character. This glitch only allows you to transfer contents of BB from an existing character to a brand new character.

@Hellmasker338 - Ok I got it to work. Still works. Doesn't work with all spell combos. It fails if you switch between soul arrow/firestorm. Easy to do if you switch between fire spray/firestorm.

Ok when doing this.. I made my new character and the knight who is dieing and gives u estus flask and the key isnt there. Im guessing its because in my main game I revisited and he attacks and he had to be put down? I cant go any further with out that key...
In your previous video where you show how to do the glitch, you mention something about messing up the glitch which leads to your character (with all the items) being deleted. How does one mess up this glitch? Seems straightforward enough (I even did it successfully).
Another question too - can this be done on the unpatched game(v 1.00)? Where you'd have to play to the depths to get the bottomless box.
Also, to people asking if it has been patched, no it has not.
@StillTheNaytch Back in December someone translated instructions for this glitch from Japanese to English on GameFaqs, nite I believe. The translations didn't include 1 key step, to press something. I tried the instructions on a character with 50 hours and it was overwritten and the glitch failed. I found the problem and posted my instructions in the original. You might find comments where people rage about losing their characters in the original video since human error exists.
Will my original character be SAFE? (i.e. no lost items & not deleted).
I saw "NOTE: Other character was not deleted and items remained" and this gives me some peace of mind, however I'd like to hear it reiterated once more before I do something this dangerous =)

@TheHatmanTheHitokori The only way to transfer equipment between accounts and characters (to my knowledge) is to arrange a deliberate summon and drop the items on the ground, let the person pick them up, then repeat the process with a new BB glitched mule.
Though this can take a lot of time and you may be better off just getting items legitly and BB glitching. This method is probably only worth it to dupe large quantities of items.

I have a question. If the "deleted" character is a member of the darkwraiths. Will the new character be a member of the darkwraiths and can use the red eye orb? I need this glitch to get the PvP-fun I need, that would say saving time.
@MasterAnselmoPhil So the deleted/overwritten character's covenant rank is not transferred, nothing is transferred at all. It is the character that you press triangle/Y on that has it's rank/BB transferred. So, in theory (I haven't tested this out), if the character you are BB glitching is in darkwraiths, then it's rank will be transferred to the new character and if you transferred the orb as well, you should be able to use it to invade people.
Anyone who cheats to be any good at dark souls is a complete failure to the game. I cant stop you from doing it so all the power to you, just know that your a failure.
@jag763 I don't have a problem with it, I only think it's wrong when people use it to invade other people with low level characters with high end gear
@Altairer1 So your on the character overwrite selection screen (after pressing OK at the character deletion prompt). By highlighting, I mean use the up and down button on the controller to make the panel with the character you want to overwrite a different colour, in this case red, than the other 3 panels (there's 4 character panels). I have no idea how to explain this any more clearly, watch other videos, especially the video response video.
@DTownzz You ever seen a SL1 Darkwraith? Im using dark hands and robes, other SL1DWs use elem weps + chaos spells w/ havels. I give lowbies a fair chance; when they're wounded i let them heal, even if i did the damage. I let them attack me 1st. & I could legitly run through the game at SL1 and get all the items i want. This just saves me time. Now who would you want invading you; a SL1DW in refined dark armor with a lgtng axe that spews pyromancies and kills on sight, or me?
This wont work if you are using a build (to copy from) that killed the Knight (oscar) instead of letting him give you the key/flasks. or maybe just if youre trying to copy from a ng+ build

I just wonder something. Does the character you're Duplicating items FROM (i.e. Griffith), have to be completely naked for this to work? I.e. no items in the inventory at all? Like say I have 99 Firebombs in my BB, and 99 Firebombs in my hand, do I have to drop the 99 in my hand? Or do they just copy from the BB, and leave whats in my hand alone?
I if you intend on doing this glitch for pvp, make sure you add the covenant items and armour to the box i.e. red orb, blue orb white summon stone, dark wraith armour as it doesn't give you the items when you join the covenants. (well i didn't to me) i didn't put the red orb in the box and when i joined dark wraith +3 i didn't get the orb or armour? second try i put the orb in the box joined dark wraith still didn't get the orb at +2 but i was still able to use the orb (invade) i duplicated...
This makes me so happy. I've legit farmed for 3 characters the upgrade material to ... whatever, i don't have to farm any more for a new character, and I don't feel bad. People who say this is cheap or ruins the game simply have not put the time into farming that I have. This is great and will give me the option to try new characters without farming insane amounts every time.
If i copy my first character to a new character he will get the items, then i take the items out of the box. what if after that i copy my 2nd character to my new character then he will have both character boxes? or this only works when you first buy the box?
@GreqoryRF You can only copy 1 BB to a character at a time. If you take items out of the BB then they don't get copied. You can keep doing the BB glitch from one character to a second to a third etc. as much as you need.
damn i guess i killed an npc that had a key in the undead asylum, i cant even get in to fight the first boss. tried the big doors and tried the gate that leads to where you can jump attack him.
since then i went back to my main game and moved the stuff from the bb. do i need to redo the entire thing, or did it save the cache already and the stuff will still be in the new game bb?

I followed the Video and inst to the T. However, when I start my new character, I get some itms straight away nd click ok to that screen.
I continue on and when I get to the part where the boulder comes down the staircase and smasshes the wall - thus allowing me to meet the knight and get a key - well the knight is not there and thus I do not get the key and cannot progress any further.
PS3, 1.05 patch and on first run through - not yet finished. Any help ?
@Exzadara615 1) I'm not sure what you mean by account. The BB glitch has no effect on any other characters or "accounts".
2) No, no need to delete current patch. BB glitch works on the current patch (1.05) all the way back to original (v1.0). Though if you want to use dragon head, snuggly, and other glitches, you'd have to delete patch.
Hey man great vid! I signed in (which is very rare) just to subscribe, rate and comment. Worked like a charm even on 1.05 patch. now I've got my new thief all the stuff I wanted w/o having to farm. It transferred two weapons, 50+ different types of shards, and some rings. So to confirm for anyone who is having trouble or says it doesn't work... IT DOES WORK ON ANY PATCH OFFLINE OR ONLINE.
@damainmg All upgrade materials, weapons, including boss, and rings can be transferred using this glitch. Estus cannot be transferred along with duplicates of story items like keys, embers, and some covenant rewards. Spells also can't be transferred.
@Hellmasker338 Well i did it yday and only transferred some souls like sif, butterfly and gwyndolyn, dragon sword and straight swords but no my great sword of Artorias, or any other great sword i mean even my Zweih wasn't there, and i have it all Swords and only transferred Drake sword and sunlight sword, and some straight swords as for items, 3 humanity of 99 and 1 twins h. from 6, no scales, no demon titanite or any other thing was transferred =)
@xThunderxWolfx Yes. I highly recommend testing with worthless characters. Many people, including myself, lost valuable characters learning/discovering this glitch.
@PeeGeek You might not have updated your game. If the BB is not at the burg merchant then you'll have to go to Domnhall of zena in the depths before the blighttown door to get the BB.
I ask this because leveling up can still be a long process that I'd like to skip without all the grinding, I've been doing it the old fashion way for too long over 6 sl120 characters in the past (VERY TEDIOUS)
@TheSolitude2IZ Check out my video on how to level a pvp char in 20 mins. However, it requires you to unpatch the game, make a new user/PSN and save, so you won't be able to BB glitch characters you've already made since they're on a different save file.
Is there a fast way to duplicate consumable souls like the brave hero's to make leveling up easier when I'm satisfied with the abundance of my other items?
i got a prob. i did this glitch b4 and it works perfectly but now when i'm trying to do the glitch again with a new character, i start with a black knight sword with 2 red titanite chunks. but thats not the problem. for some reason the 1st npc you meet isn't there so i cant get any further :(

@thidi11 Nope. You might as well do the kiln glitch on your main to go into a new game to farm slabs. Though the enemies will get very powerful up until NG7+
@DaMoose85 You can transfer that slab to the BB, do the glitch, start a new game with new character, and get another slab to put in BB and repeat. Youtube bottomless box glitch and you should find a video by bravedeserter doing just that.
I'm calling bullshit on this. The video is cut up like fuck, and all of your "new characters" are of several varying levels. There's no way to tell that you did this with even a shadow of certainty, and, call me a cynic, but those items in your inventory to "prove" the glitch worked aren't even rare. I feel bad for anyone naive enough to go through all the hassle of trying this.
@uttoushii Yeah I just did it and it works just fine. I can see why youre skeptical, but you dont do anything to your main char. All you do is view your main save, and then select the save to be overwritten with a new game.

it seems if you try to repeat this glitch i dont get all my items duped. for example several of my rings did not get duped when i tried the glitch the second time.
@adrrp96431 That's odd. Make sure you unequip everything and double check everything is in the box (some things can't go in it such as duplicate firekeeper souls). I was able to make 3 new characters with one main character using this glitch and the main's BB got copied to the new chars. Though I did it all at once and maybe loading the main character after doing this glitch may cause problems? Unlikely but possible.
So the two times I've done it, I deposited everything into the BB, followed the steps, but when I make a new Character, it starts with 2 Red Titanite Chunks. I get to the part where the warrior gives you the Estus and Key, but the warrior is not there, nor are the items.

might have found a problem, in my main character, he was a dark wraith with the red eye orb, i think because i did not put the red eye orb in my BB when i did the glitch, i can't get it now, ive given Kaathe like 20 humanity now and hes not giving me the orb.. bummer
@SilentJayy I've heard of this kind of problem. Quitting covenant by joining another will rank it down and rejoining when it's +0 may work to fix it. Emphasis on may since I can't confirm it myself.
so like you said in the description, if i transfer items from a character that has had certain npc deaths and covenant ranks, does this carry over to the new character with the transferred items? because i pissed off both Kaathe and Frampt so they disappeared and have killed a couple important npcs.
@afternoonpizza You should try absolving your sin at Oswald below the gargoyle bell in parish which gets rid of NPC aggro before doing this glitch and restarting the game to solve your Kaathe/Frampt prob. Make sure you keep covenant related items (such as orbs, signs, etc.) in bottomless box otherwise it may prevent you from acquiring covenant rewards on the new character. It's not clear whether rank transfers because it's not shown on status screen.
So, wait...you can't add items to characters that you already have?

@Hellmasker338 - You must have at least 200MP (more actually) otherwise it won't ever work. It'll start but then immediately stop.
Other than that it's gotta be really fast. I'm right handed and it's easier if I put the catalyst (I use talisman of beasts) on R1.
1.Have firespray ready.
2. Press R1, then immediately switch to firestorm and face towards the screen and then forwards again.
3. Just a matter of timing i think. :S

This makes me so happy. I've legit farmed for 3 characters the upgrade material to ... whatever, i don't have to farm any more for a new character, and I don't feel bad. People who say this is cheap or ruins the game simply have not put the time into farming that I have. This is great and will give me the option to try new characters without farming insane amounts every time.

If i copy my first character to a new character he will get the items, then i take the items out of the box. what if after that i copy my 2nd character to my new character then he will have both character boxes? or this only works when you first buy the box?

@GreqoryRF You can only copy 1 BB to a character at a time. If you take items out of the BB then they don't get copied. You can keep doing the BB glitch from one character to a second to a third etc. as much as you need.

damn i guess i killed an npc that had a key in the undead asylum, i cant even get in to fight the first boss. tried the big doors and tried the gate that leads to where you can jump attack him.

I followed the Video and inst to the T. However, when I start my new character, I get some itms straight away nd click ok to that screen.
I continue on and when I get to the part where the boulder comes down the staircase and smasshes the wall - thus allowing me to meet the knight and get a key - well the knight is not there and thus I do not get the key and cannot progress any further.
PS3, 1.05 patch and on first run through - not yet finished. Any help ?

@Exzadara615 1) I'm not sure what you mean by account. The BB glitch has no effect on any other characters or "accounts".
2) No, no need to delete current patch. BB glitch works on the current patch (1.05) all the way back to original (v1.0). Though if you want to use dragon head, snuggly, and other glitches, you'd have to delete patch.

Hey man great vid! I signed in (which is very rare) just to subscribe, rate and comment. Worked like a charm even on 1.05 patch. now I've got my new thief all the stuff I wanted w/o having to farm. It transferred two weapons, 50+ different types of shards, and some rings. So to confirm for anyone who is having trouble or says it doesn't work... IT DOES WORK ON ANY PATCH OFFLINE OR ONLINE.

@damainmg All upgrade materials, weapons, including boss, and rings can be transferred using this glitch. Estus cannot be transferred along with duplicates of story items like keys, embers, and some covenant rewards. Spells also can't be transferred.

@Hellmasker338 Well i did it yday and only transferred some souls like sif, butterfly and gwyndolyn, dragon sword and straight swords but no my great sword of Artorias, or any other great sword i mean even my Zweih wasn't there, and i have it all Swords and only transferred Drake sword and sunlight sword, and some straight swords as for items, 3 humanity of 99 and 1 twins h. from 6, no scales, no demon titanite or any other thing was transferred =)

@PeeGeek You might not have updated your game. If the BB is not at the burg merchant then you'll have to go to Domnhall of zena in the depths before the blighttown door to get the BB.

@TheSolitude2IZ Check out my video on how to level a pvp char in 20 mins. However, it requires you to unpatch the game, make a new user/PSN and save, so you won't be able to BB glitch characters you've already made since they're on a different save file.

i got a prob. i did this glitch b4 and it works perfectly but now when i'm trying to do the glitch again with a new character, i start with a black knight sword with 2 red titanite chunks. but thats not the problem. for some reason the 1st npc you meet isn't there so i cant get any further :(

@DaMoose85 You can transfer that slab to the BB, do the glitch, start a new game with new character, and get another slab to put in BB and repeat. Youtube bottomless box glitch and you should find a video by bravedeserter doing just that.

I'm calling bullshit on this. The video is cut up like fuck, and all of your "new characters" are of several varying levels. There's no way to tell that you did this with even a shadow of certainty, and, call me a cynic, but those items in your inventory to "prove" the glitch worked aren't even rare. I feel bad for anyone naive enough to go through all the hassle of trying this.

@uttoushii Yeah I just did it and it works just fine. I can see why youre skeptical, but you dont do anything to your main char. All you do is view your main save, and then select the save to be overwritten with a new game.

it seems if you try to repeat this glitch i dont get all my items duped. for example several of my rings did not get duped when i tried the glitch the second time.

@adrrp96431 That's odd. Make sure you unequip everything and double check everything is in the box (some things can't go in it such as duplicate firekeeper souls). I was able to make 3 new characters with one main character using this glitch and the main's BB got copied to the new chars. Though I did it all at once and maybe loading the main character after doing this glitch may cause problems? Unlikely but possible.

So the two times I've done it, I deposited everything into the BB, followed the steps, but when I make a new Character, it starts with 2 Red Titanite Chunks. I get to the part where the warrior gives you the Estus and Key, but the warrior is not there, nor are the items.

might have found a problem, in my main character, he was a dark wraith with the red eye orb, i think because i did not put the red eye orb in my BB when i did the glitch, i can't get it now, ive given Kaathe like 20 humanity now and hes not giving me the orb.. bummer

@SilentJayy I've heard of this kind of problem. Quitting covenant by joining another will rank it down and rejoining when it's +0 may work to fix it. Emphasis on may since I can't confirm it myself.

so like you said in the description, if i transfer items from a character that has had certain npc deaths and covenant ranks, does this carry over to the new character with the transferred items? because i pissed off both Kaathe and Frampt so they disappeared and have killed a couple important npcs.

@afternoonpizza You should try absolving your sin at Oswald below the gargoyle bell in parish which gets rid of NPC aggro before doing this glitch and restarting the game to solve your Kaathe/Frampt prob. Make sure you keep covenant related items (such as orbs, signs, etc.) in bottomless box otherwise it may prevent you from acquiring covenant rewards on the new character. It's not clear whether rank transfers because it's not shown on status screen.
