Yes I could agree more !! In my large collection of DVDs..This is one of two films ( the other is the Dark Knight..) that I watch over and over and over again !!
I wasn't familiar with Nolan until "Memento," which is a good movie, twisted, but very intriguing. I could see where Aaron Eckhart could have played the role as "Leonard" easily in that movie, but Nolan made a good choice with Guy Pearce. Eckhart, however, was excellent as Harvey Dent in "The Dark Knight." Eckhart looks like an All-American, charismatic lawyer, although, the part of Two-Face seemed a little rushed, IMHO. Who knows, though? Two-Face may return.
i disagree.. there is a way to portray batman.. see bruce wayne is a man who is trying to make sure that no one ever feels the loss he did as a child. its why he doesnt kill people. batman needs to be shown as a ruthless genius, but at the same time his under character needs to reveal he is doing this for the good of mankind.
Schumacher COMIC BOOK??? dude, agree what u say until that, but Nolan was realistc as possible and psychological AND it was more close to the frank miller's comic books,
Schumacher: gay and colourful.. and gay, and disgusting
high expectations, but now that's completely blown out of the water, you know. I don't mean to bash fans because that happens with a lot of movie series but that's why I feel sorry for Nolan
I totally agree! You have to say that The Dark Knight is over-rated. Yes it's a great movie, but people have set such high expectations that the pressure and what they want it to be will ultimately be the ruination in itself.
(continued) such a big huge event movie that was really good and that everyone involved including Nolan put in a lot of energy, which was good, but also had the negative effect of the media and fans (no offense) hacing even higher expectations for Nolan making the next one that it kind of sounds like Nolan is a bit annoyed by that and it puts stress on him, whereas beforehand, he as well as other filmmakers on other popular movie series, kind of enjoyed the underground secrecy and fun without
I thought Batman Begins was really cool and I liked the world that Christopher Nolan structured for it. This and the Prestige are what actually helped me gain interest in Christopher Nolan and I'm curious about his earlier work like Insomnia and Memento. I've only seen the Dark Knight once and I wasn't quite sure what to think about it but when I reflect on it, I really love the strong story structure and will have to see it again. I feel kind of bad for Nolan though because the Dark Knight was
@joeydrawz Batman begins isn't 2nd best to the dark knight. Both these movies can stand on their own 2 feet but together....the become the best soo-to-be trilogy that hollwood's ever seen
I just read a review for "The Dark Knight" and according to that, it's absolutely brilliant! As you leave, it will leave you totally shaken up. God I can't wait! No way I'm gonna get into a theatre till next week though! :)

Rachel Dawes is the only negative of these two films
that character didnt do anything for me in relations to the c.b's

I think she was created to be a catalyst; an expendable character to motivate Batman.

I know everybody compares Nolan's Batman, Burton's Batman, and Schumacher's Batman. But there all different
Nolan: realistic as possible and psychological
Burton: dark and gothic
Schumacher: comic book
There is almost no wrong depicitation or intrepertation of Batman
AnnaBarton10 2 years ago
Nolan: Comics and a lot and a lot of talking/exposition
Burton: art deco and psychological and dark
schumacher: campy

Tim Burton's 1989 BATMAN film is still the best. The Nolan's films lack a good visual stength. The city is just chicago not gotham

Batman Begins is the greatest Batman movie of all time next to The Dark Knight and maybe even Batman: Mask of the Phantasm!
TheWorldisYours21 2 years ago 6
It's way better than Mask of the Phantasm, simply because there are better actors.

I totally respect Christian bale. But somehow cant get used to him either using a British or American accent in interviews.
He is British.
Fenvox79 3 years ago
I actually did not know he was British until recently! He does the American voice so well!
TiGeRgIrL17 3 years ago
Yeah he does, when I saw American Psycho I thought he was American. Bale is super talented!
Fenvox79 3 years ago
True, all too true.
TiGeRgIrL17 3 years ago
Actually, Bale is from Wales. Thus, he is Welsh. ;)
NW1977 3 years ago
Wow. I seriously did not know that! He is really talented.
